Excellent work. This shows how much more coherent the story is with the removal of ONE scene. Come on bioware, you can do it. Let the true vision of the writing team come through, not just the vision of hudson and walters.

How hard would it be to save this as a modified ending file and have it play in game?

Replace that with my own Shep and bam, nearly perfect. Adding music and removing Starchild and the Mass Relays exploding solves a lot of problems. Also, still bittersweet.

So, you edited the video and music?

Lol, if the final song and videos can be edited (they can), it won't be an awfull ending after all.

Yes, I recorded the ending without music, then I edited the video et put Mass Effect 1 and 2 greatest musics. I also keep the track "I'm proud of you" of Mass Effect 3 because he was really good for Anderson's death.

This video is my vision of how should be the ending, before completed the game. But I was really disappointed after the real ending. This is why my original project "Fleet arrival with good music" turn into "New ending with good music and lots of changes" :)

The result is awesome.

Could you do a FemShep version?

Wow. This made actually sense. Combine it with text information on what happens to your crew depending on your choices throughout the series of the game and it could be counted as a real ending to Shepards story in Mass Effect.

And no one would have to pull a childish and absolute stupid "we protect some *fill in whatever you like* artistc vision, who actually had no idea what he/she was wiriting, but u r not going to gain any more influence over the powerful EA-industry for the sake of our profits"-crap.

I'm so upset that this wasn't the ending, and I was EXPECTING the slides, the last great game they made had slides...

HELL.  YES.

Awesome, awesome work.  Wow, what a difference the change of music made.  I had such a rush of emotions just watching that.  I GOT CHILLS.  That is everything the end should have been.  Thank you for making this.  Just... thank you. <3

A good edit. =)

However, after seeing this linked video, I think this should have been the ending. http://www.youtube.c...=endscreen&NR=1

this was MUCH better.     I would have been ok with this. I would have wanted to see what happens to my crew etc but thats just wanting more not hating what i saw.   Good Job.   Bioware take note....

Much better. Most people would have accepted that ending.

Add one or two alternatives to this, an epilogue, make the survival of your companions and a few other things dependent on your decisions and I would have been happy with the ending.

Instead, I returned ME3 today.

Just an amazing edit of the poor ending. Why couldn't it just end like this? StarChild was just their crappy attempt at a late game twist, which failed drastically. I'm sure people would have loved this ending and if we wanted more closure with our characters, they could have done what they are doing now with the Extended Cut, only people wouldn't be as mad and everyone would have been patient to wait until Summer.

It is a testament to the poor quality of the ending that I would rather pay 5 extra bucks to get content removed from the game than get the extended cut for free.

This is wonderful. I had an emotional connection to everything (and everyone!) in this ending, which is where the current ending falls flat.

better than the ending we got, but could be much better with more clips of the whole orbital fight and watching our War assets duke it out with the reapers.

Good work, now you only need to mod it so we can choose this to come when we finish game ;)

This, always can be done better, but it was good. Maybe next one with additional fight. Maybe scrab some Quarian/Geth fights to this when they shoot

But the Mass Relays are part of the Reapers >_>. If they stay operational, the cycle is only prolonged from what Bioware has stated. The whole point of the mass relays blowing up is to end the Reaper cycle.

This is actually a valid point.

While I don't agree with this and what it does, I understand it.  I understand the getting rid of the Reapers and all their works.  I don't like it, but there is some sense behind it, some logic and purpose as to why it fits in and can be Mass Effect (although, again, we should have the choice to reject it, even if that means a "go out guns blazing" ending).

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the rest of the ending.  Not only do I not like StarJar Binks as a character and plot device, but it doesn't fit in with any of the themes or conflicts of the rest of the series.  The Catalyst isn't Mass Effect.  It doesn't work.

To be honest, if we had been given an ending which made sense, but resulted in the destruction of the relays, I would have hated it.  But I would have understood and accepted it.  If given the choice, I probably would have spared the relays and just watched my fleet die as I took down as many of the Reapers conventionally as I could, and trusted in Liara's project and the next cycle to finish the job.  But I would have understood the ending.

But the current ending does not make sense, due to the godchild.

Anyway, I still want a FemShep version of this.  It's a pity this wasn't made before PAX.  It would have been nice to have something to point to while BioWare was "collecting feedback" and just be able to say: "that is what we want".  Something simple and straightforward.
