AFAIK, the above is still exactly as it has been since the release. Please don't ask me to describe the process, however. I do not use digital copies of games, or much at all like any DLC, because the easily affordable Family Combo of Landline, 'Net, and TV from my cable company isn't "broad enough" of a broadband for that.Gorath Alpha wrote...

The installation tools that EA chose to use are very unstable and persnickety (some of us suspect there are ondisk anti-copying tracks also). The slightest smudge on the disk, the slightest bit of lint on the drive mirror, any minor deviation in the drive's firmware from the official ATAPI standard, and it chokes. Try different DVD drives. Clean your disk and drive carefully. Try copying to a folder on the hard disk and installing from there. Borrow a friend's external DVD drive.
Many of the digital downloads suffer similar difficulties, with much less simple fixes, HOWEVER, if you have a retail hard copy with problems, you can use your CD-Key to download a digital copy from EA's store. .
