I intend to update this post with more known glitches and bugs as they come in, but ONLY if they are confirmed glitches across multiple players or platforms, and not specific connection errors on the user end.

What this thread IS for:
-Your posts on exploits, bugs, or gameplay glitches related to ME3 Multiplayer that are not currently listed below.
-Your opinions and ideas on ways to fix these bugs, or alternative work arounds to bypass them.
-Your post containing any information that I may have listed incorrectly, or futher confirmation that the bug is also on a platform I do not have listed here.
-Any known bugs in relation to the multiplayer store, or galaxy at war you have encountered.


What this thread is NOT for:
-Your opinion on Bioware and/or EA.
-Your opnion on cheaters, and people who abuse these bugs for their own gains.
-Posts that are not relevant to the currently known bugs, glitches, exploits, etc.
-Your opion on the multiplayer store. 


Basically, this thread is NOT here to be used as an outlet for your flames and rage over character cards and the store packs. This thread is to be strictly used as a FACT based (and checked, if possible.) compilation of things we, as ME3 players, would like our MP devs to be aware of. This is not the place to flame them for any reason, I want this thread to be as useful as possible to our devs, and as quick and effecient as possible. Flaming the people who brought us such a great game will not give them further incentive to do anything else for you, it's counter-productive, please take it elsewhere.

Now, onto the list of known Bugs/Glitches/Exploits, I will list the ones I am currently aware of below, and edit this post once more have been brought to my attention via online searching, or posts here. If you have a bug or glitch you wish to post about, please be sure it is not one currently listed, and that you can be as specific as possible when you describe how it occured. I can't stress that enough, it's very important that the devs be aware how the glitch came about, and have some idea of how they can re-create it themselves. Please also include the platform you play on in your post, and if you see any issues below that you have experienced on a platform not listed, please post about it. Thank you. ^_^

Players spend credits, but do not get items. Video:

- "Invisible Player" glitch:
Several players report joining a match only to be completeley ignored, invulnerable, and unable to deal damage. This causes games to not end properly if the rest of the team goes down without them.

- Krogan heavy melee attack passes through enemies in Stasis:
Can confirm this one myself, and have had others report it happening to them as well. The Krogan will simply run through the enemy, doing no damage, causing no sounds as if he hit them either, just as if you used the melee on thin air. Headbutting them (regular melee attack) still seems to work though.
Known Platforms: 360

- Quarian Engineer's Turret loops flame-thrower sound effect:
The sound will loop until the end of the match, even when the turret is redeployed elsewhere. Listed here until further confirmation of this bug, and the events leading to it's cause. Confirmed for multiple players.

- Ammo Bonuses do not work on your Secondary Weapon, if your Primary is an SMG.

- Constant Bloody Screen:
I can varify this one myself, once being knocked into a bloody screen of death, if you use Energy Drain to restore shields, at times the screen will not change back to normal until you are mortally wounded again. Has happened to several other players as well. As well as other players reporting it happening in normal means after using an Ops Survival kit.

- Revive Symbol being stuck on players that are not dead:
Reported by several players, once an ally is revived they will have the res option floating around them, however pressing A does nothing. Unknown cause.

- Invisible Weapons Glitch:
Now with video tutorial! Explains everything. The Gist of it, is you switch your weapons while walking towards a ladder, and once you go up it, switch back. Tada!

- Weapons constantly firing:
I have seen this myself, and several players have varified seeing other players' guns constantly flashing as if shooting bullets, even when the character is not doing anything. Simple animation glitch, nothing game-breaking.

Grab Animation Failure Creating Invincible Enemy:
How it works: You can kill an enemy via grab, but it does not animate properly. This creates an invincible enemy. While attempting to grab, either you or the enemy moves out of position. Lag is probable cause, but could be due to something else. In game fix is to have the enemy follow you over cover, they will fall through the floor to their death. At times the enemy will simply walk through the cover.

- Promoted Characters returning to level 1 with talents spent as if still level 20.
How it works: Upon promoting a character, they will retain their points previously spent in the manner the player had done so. But you can no longer upgrade the skills, and have negative talent points. Further information here, including images:

- Biotic Charge not targeting properly
How it works: Generally occurs most when Nova/Charge spamming, but possibly just due to how much more often charge is used with this character. The Vanguard will be targeting an enemy and even have the targeting icon around them, and mash the charge button, but stand there. At times it happens due to cover being in the way very slightly, but I've had it happen in a wide open area. Possibly related to the Revive error.
Known Platforms: All

- Reave Skill sound effect on constant loop.
How it works: Anytime, anywhere. Whenever a Drell uses Reave, the sound effect constantly loops in the background. Occurs on every platform, for every player, including the Drell himself, though not always. Unknown cause of error, easily reproduced. Simply use Reave online. Host status irrelevant.

- Projectile Weapons firing "blanks.":
How it works: Generally happens to players who are not hosting the match, and it is very sporadic. But several guns which fire projectile shots, such as the Falcon, Graal, Geth Plasma Shotgun, and at times the Missle Launcher, will fire no bullets, but still cause all sound effects as if they did, and take away ammunition as if the shot had fired normally. Several players avoid using the Falcon solely for this reason. Fairly game breaking glitch, if it happens to a missle, it can end a match for the team. This glitch has been confirmed to affect even the Proximity Mine skill.

- Vanguards falling out of the map:
How it works: This glitch occurs while a Vanguard dies using Bitoic Charge. It only occurs if the Vanguard is not the host of the match. Possible reason is lag between the death of the Vanguard, and the end of his charge, causing the host server to be unsure of the Vanguards location, so when revived drops out of the map. Need further confirmation if this is the only way to activate this glitch, and if it is indeed PC specific.

- Heavy Melee attack becomes limited to Omni-tool pistol whip like animation:
How it works:I have encountered this bug/glitch twice now myself, and have had other players confirm it happened to them a time or two. When popping out of cover and attempting a heavy melee attack, your character will simply do a pistol whip with the butt of their gun, but their omni-tool is activated during this time, even if they have no tech skills. I can confirm myself that this has nothing to do with objective waves (my initial theory) as it has happened to me while on normal waves. So that has nothing to do with the omni-tool being activated. The way to get this fixed in game, is to simply get back into cover and get out again.

- Unable to Revive teammates:
How it works: Several times over the course of a night, other players and I will run into the situation of not being able to revive a downed team mate. The player will be standing directly on top of or beside the downed player, with the "Press A to Revive" prompt on screen, and attempting a revive though your character will do nothing. If cover is nearby, they will simply dive to cover. I have no idea how to remedy this in game, as every time it happens either I die trying to get it to work, or my ally bleeds out. Any more information on what triggers this, or theories as to why this happens are welcome.

- Credit farming glitch:
How it works: At the risk of giving this glitch more exposure to those that would abuse it, I will refrain from detailing exactly how it is done. All I will say for now is that it has to do with the host of the game leaving and returning at a certain point of the match. If a Bioware dev would like more information, please message me or give me the go ahead here, and I will post more details on how this is done. I do need confirmation on other platforms if anyone knows it works on a different system.

- Ultra Lightweight Materials Mod not working properly:
How it works: Ultra Lightweight Materials mod for SMGs flat out does not work. Equipping it will look correct in the weight screen and weapons mod screen, but in game it has no effect.

- Cerberus Soldiers getting stuck mid-air
Usually occurs while dropping in. Not a game-breaker, but a bug/glitch nonetheless.

:wizard:Possible Issues, unconfirmed, lacking information etc: 
(Please note that most of these have only been mentioned by a few players, and need further confirmation from a larger amount of people to be moved to the confirmed list of glitches.)

- Ops Survival Pack gives full shields/HP but you die instantly afterwards.
I'm going to have to chalk this one up to lag, as the only video I currently have appears that that was the case. It seems that the player technically was killed before the Ops Pack was activated, but lag caused it to activate anyways. Will accept further information and opinions on this matter, however.

- Banshee's Ranged Attack Traveling through walls:
Can confirm this myself, as can several other players. However I cannot confirm if this is a lag related issue or not. As such I will leave it here until more information is discovered.

- Getting hit with a melee attack in the back will stagger you backwards:
Player has reported being stabbed in the back by a Phantom, or hit by a Brute, and their character staggers backwards further into the enemy. Likely an animation oversight, or possible latency issue. Need further player confirmations.

- Biotic Abilities Projectiles not working or targeting properly:
A lot of this is hard to pinpoint whether or not players are lagging, missing their shots, or actually encountering a bug. Possibly related to the projectile "blanks" glitch.
Known Platforms: All

- Biotic Charge not causing detonations:
Reported to happen with Drell Vanguard, after using Pull, Charge will not cause an explosion. Even if playing solo to make sure the pull was not overwritten, the player still had it happen to them. Needs further confirmation from other players, would test myself, but I don't have Drell Vanguard, though I assume this glitch may occur on multiple Vanguard classes, it could simply be related to the combination of Pull + Charge.

- Various Stasis bugs:
A few players have reported Stasis causing targets to be invincible to gunfire after a biotic detonation. Also Stasis has been reported to cause enemies to either fall through the floor or be invisible. Need further confirmation on these.

- Players unable to use Ladders:
Possible lag related issue, unknown cause. Needs more information/confirmation.
Known Platforms: PC

- Ops Survival Packs usable at full health/shields:
This one is listed here as it may not necessarily be a bug or error, but it does seem to be an oversight.
Known Platforms: All

- "Invisible Enemies":
Some players have noted that enemies will load on the map, but be invisible, still able to attack you, but it is as if their model has not loaded. Needs further confirmation/information. Has said to be common on Turrets.

- Rank 6 evolution of concussion shot, Amplification, does not work.
How it works: Need more information, on why, and further confirmation.

-Additional Biotic Charge Errors:
How it works: Biotic Charge at times will be used but the character will simply charge in place. Also at times you can be melee'd out of charge. Unsure of relevance to bugs, or lag. But noting this anyways.

- Character Powers and Talents not working properly:
How it works: I have heard about some talent trees not actually benefiting the characters once points are spent in them. I believe these tend to be focused on defensive skills and shield upgrades. I am not aware which ones, and have not looked into it enough myself to know for sure. More information needed.

- Krogan "Stun Lock":
How it works: Krogan characters will get stuck in place being lambasted with bullets, animation from stun is not recovered faster than the next stun is applied. Unknown if this is a bug or intentional. Possible solution would be to make it where Krogan cannot be stunned whille recovering from previous stun. Occurs most often versus Geth.

- Rockets passing through enemies:
How it works: At times rockets simply pass through enemies. Fix is to aim at the floor in order to cause the rocket to blow up right beside your target rather than directly on them. Some reports of this are probably due to the previously mentioned error with projectile weapons, and some players simply missing their mark, however since a missle launcher can fire blanks, I suppose it firing a rocket that can be seen and heard, but not cause impact is a possibility. Some suggest it happens right after pulling out the missle launcher.

- Falling out of map on Firebase Giant:
How it works: Near the ramp and ladder beside the ammo crate, if you head into the room and take cover by the window overlooking the direction of the LZ, using abilities has been reported to occasionally drop you through the map. Unknown cause.

- Reload Animation Cancellable by various means.
How it works: While reloading, you can use certain skills to cut off the reload animation and give you the ammo instantly. Not sure if bug or intentional, but very handy! Works in single player as well.
Known Platforms: All.

- Turian Stability mods causing guns to climb downwards:
Essentially with a Turian you can get your stability so high, it actually causes to gun to recoil downwards. Unsure if true error, oversight, or left to be funny, but worth noting here.

- Enemies "playing dead"
Some players have reported killing or knocking down enemies only for them to lie down as if defeated, but still shooting at the player. Unknown cause, need further information.

Thank you for your hard work Bioware, we <3 our multiplayer! I hope this post helps you guys, and I hope you guys don't take all the flak you get about glitches too seriously. Some of these kids just don't know how the world works. ;)

Vanguard glitch happens when the person charges and dies at the same time. This is only possible when the vanguard is not the host and the host server tries and counter the fact that the vanguard could be in 2 possible locations when he is rezzed thus leading to the vanguard bouncing in his spot by either rising or sinking.

Invisble guns with ladder glitch (not important to fix)

Getting off the map by walking slowly while rubbing up against certain surfaces on fire base dagger and fire base white..

I can confirm that the Falcon fires blanks on PC, and that the same glitch seems to apply to all 'projectile' weapons such as the GPS, Graal and Scorpion, and sometimes even the Missile Launcher which can be game ending when it happens. Occurs most commonly when lag is involved, i.e. you're not the host of the game.

There also seems to be an issue with Krogan getting the short end of the stick when it comes to stuns. No one else gets stunlocked and rooted to the spot for 4-5 seconds at a time by Geth Prime salvos and Rocket Trooper barrages, and it makes playing a Krogan vs Geth one of the most frustrating things in this game.

Rockets passing through enemies rather than hitting them, effectively wasting them. The work around is to fire them at the floor, but it's still a little disconcerting to watch it pass through a brute's head with no effect.

Vanguard has a few more glitches. Like being meleed out of charge, charging on the spot, and some others I have forgotten.

Also there is the super annoying MISSILE GLITCH, where your missile will do absolutely nothing, but still use ammo. Someone said it happens when you fire immediately after switching to the Missile Launcher.

Tends to happen a lot if you use Biotic Charge right before you die. Biotic Charge sound plays when you die but nothing happens. After you get revived you get progressively more and more "out of sync" with the map until you fall through it entirely.

Any projectile weapon (scorpion, graal) behaves this way, even Proximity Mine does.

Almost forgot: the Arc Pistol must also be glitched, as it does next to no damage, yet has the best overall stats in the game.

The SMG ultralight materials are absolutely bugged. It will display the proper weight reduction on the weapons screen but powers still take the hit in recharge time as though the weapon was unmodded.

It's obscenely easy to check. That's the only mod I know of that flat out doesn't work at all.

I'd like to see something done about the ops packs. For one thing I shouldn't be able to use 3 of them in a row and I also shouldn't die right after I slam one.

The slight delay is a killer at higher difficulties and is also the reason why I can end up using more than one.

Dont forget the bug where a promoted char is reset to level 1 but retains everything assigned at level 20, also having negative points. It happens on the PC, not sure if it happens on other platforms as well.

I can confirm all of these happening on 360, save for the store pack glitch, which has never happened to me, personally.

- Grab Animation Failure Creating Invincible Enemy.
Problem: You can kill an enemy (via grab), but it does not animate. This creates an invincible enemy.
Temporary Solution: Get that enemy to valut over cover.

While attempting to grab either you or the enemy moves out of position. This can be due to lag or something else. The game locks you both in place to complete the grab animation. After a period of time similar to the animation's completion you are both free to move.  However, the enemy is now invincible and can move freely killing everybody. The only way to destroy the enemy is to get it to follow you over cover and it will fall through the map to its death. You have to use the proper direction or sometimes it can just walk through cover as if it didn't exist. I have been able to repeat this bug/solution on multiple occasions. 360

Re: Falcon Blanks - Cobra Blanks
This is partially related to Cobra blanks. Against Geth in a crowd it's too easy to get staggered and fire a cobra that does nothing. I am aiming stright at the ground and I hear the Cobra fire but nothing happens. Incredibly irritating.

- Firebase: Giant falling out of the map:
How it works: This occurs near the common Firebase: Giant camping spot (the ramp/ladder by the ammo box area). If you head up the ramp into the room, and then take cover on the spot overlooking the direction of the lz, occasionally using abilities will cause you to fall through the map/get stuck similar to how the Vanguard glitch works.

YES!  The GPS especially will often stagger enemies while doing no damage.

Added Reave glitch, can't believe I forgot that one. xP

Working on the rest listed, gonna have my work cut out for me, but once I'm caught up we will have a nice organized list in one spot.

Infiltrator Cloak animation bugging up, it is up but doesn't appear up and enemies don't respond, or vice versa, appears up but it is down.

Reave sound running for long period of time.

Additionally being mid charge while being revived causes the no health glitch.

i've fallen out with asari adept and soldier as well and i think other classes can fall too.

I believe that the Scorpion has a similar issue to this.


I can confirm that the Falcon Glitch also happens on the PC. It has happened a lot in the last matches I played and I was never the host. The game was very laggy, so I assume there is a connection there somehow. It is especially bad if you actually fire an entire magazione into a noormal ceberus trooper and all the grenades just disappear ;).
