I have been thinking about the synthesis ending and I cannot get it to make sense. I am not talking about Space Magic, I will go ahead and suspend my disbelief there for now....
The Geth are software, not hardware. So in the green ending do they somehow get imprisoned in their physical shells and somehow transformed into organic/synthetic hybrids? How about the Geth inside the Quarian suits, or the Geth inside their databases/hubs?
EDI is an AI in the Quantuum Blue Boxes on the Normandy. In the green ending does the Normandy sundenly become and organic/synthetic hybrid since she has said that the Normandy is effectivly her body? Or is she somehow magically pulled out of the Normandy and stuffed completly into the sexy robot body? The sexy robot body was never her, just an avatar that allowed he to better interact with the crew. Based on the cut scene at the end I guess this is what happened.
Is the clarification in the Exended edition going to clarify this?

If they removed synthesis and starbrat, substituted them with Harbinger and some other option, then gave us some epilogues that weren't total BS. I'd be happy.
