I am thankful we are getting this much to be honest. Mass effect 4 has prolly been in the making for months if not a year or so, story boards and plot, art, script have mostlikely been started or done. Let alone other products like books comics and whatever else they think they could make money off of. I personally wouldn't want them to scrap what they had with the next mass effect game just to make a ending they didn't plan for. Not saying i liked the ending at all but i would rather a new game come out sooner then start it all over for just a me3 ending. I just hope this directors cut will fill in some of the holes.

I love the people that believe in this elusive Mass effect 4, its not like Halo, where the greater continuity of the universe remained in tacked, Elites still hate humans, or don’t trust them, Elites are still at war with the Brutes/Grunts/Jackals, Humans are still trying to figure out the best way to kill everyone that is not human. And the Halo’s are still floating around space. Spartans are still being made, and John is still alive. A Halo 4 was destined.
Now look at Mass Effect, Shep is dead in most the endings, the relays have ether destroyed all life, or stranded it in a way that would cause mass extinctions, there is nothing left in the MEU that would have enough weight to it to base a game off it. The reapers are gone, and everything is ****ed.
