For all of you who hate this news of the closure DLC and not new ending DLC, don't download it and spread the word! If the number of downloads is as few as possible it can only help us. (however small of a chance remains)

So watch the DLC on YouTube, I'm sure there will be several videos in all sorts of combinations, i.e. your LI, the different races, alive or dead characters, etc.

Of course I can't make you do anything, but I request that you don't download it.

Trolls may now post to bump my thread for more people to see.

Edit1: YouTube views as opposed to download hits is a big
difference.  You can't put a market figure on views, only on downloads
for the actual DLC

Edit2: A lot of you people don't get the difference between free DLC and a free video to watch.  If the downloads for the free DLC is low, that will show BW we don't like their solution to the retake uproar.  Bioware/EA can't see YouTube views as a legit figure to how successful or likeable the extended ending is because there are a lot of miscellanous people that watch videos.  Even the like/dislike bar isn't reliable because only those with YouTube accounts can like or dislike.

BARRAGE 74 said it very eloquently:

Low download numbers will give Bioware a glimpse of how many players
have abandoned the title.  I just traded in my ME3 copy so watching it
on youtube will be the only way I'll get to see their clarifications.

Pretty much what I'm going to do.

If by some miracle it is satisfactory, then I'll download it for future playthroughs.

What I love is that people presented the following argument for IT DLC:

"If you don't like it, don't download it."

Well, it applies here. It's free, optional, and if you don't like it, don't download it :)

Well, obviously a few people have to download it if it's going to be on YouTube at all.

Super great idea, way to stick it to the man, pretty sure EA doesn't care whether you download it or watch.

Ill happily bump your thread to tell you...NO. Its hilarious that you think you know what this DLC will entail and that it wont be worth the download. No, instead I should just let someone else download it, record it, and post it to you tube so I can watch it in all its grainy glory. Its FREE. Shut the hell up.

i agree DO NOT DOWNLOAD DLC because if bioware sees that not many are downloading it they will get that this isnt good enough.

Not downloading it could also send the message that the ending was fine as it was and they didn't need to implement changes in the first place, which isn't the case, in fact while the fix addresses some issue we have they still have the fundamental flaw of limiting our choices to accepting the Catalyst's intervention when some of just want tell it to disappear along with it's reapers and let us worry about safeguarding our own future.

It's the principle of the thing. I will not download an insult.
I will not be forced to watch my Shepard go through that ending again, just to see it explained in detail why everybody and everything I love has to die, why Joker is a coward and why I spent 100+ hours on a trilogy to save the universe for the Yahg and a senile old man.

Oh they will - as it means the difference between using their product or not and subsequently suporting their product or not.

So you want to save EA money by not clogging their servers, but attach massive viewing figures (which Bioware can see or intepret) to Youtube videos?

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Totally. If you want Bioware to think their ending isn't 'good enough', why would it make any difference whether people download it or watch it? Either way they've consumed it, and no one gains or loses anything (except that EA saves money and whoever uploads the video to Youtube first could get a massive subscriber base, giving them future income).

Wait...by watching the dlc play back on Youtube you only guarantee that that choices you made in the game are not going to be represented in the extended ending. Thus you are denining yourself the fundimential thing that a vast majority of the people have been complaing about...That their choices through the game dont matter in the ending.

I can only surmise that your logic for not wanting to download free dlc that might explain things and make your choices matter in this is head together by space magic!
