I won't do that but I will read up on it and generally how it was received before downloading it and playing ME3 through again.

So you want to save EA money by not clogging their servers, but attach massive viewing figures (which Bioware can see or intepret) to Youtube videos?

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Totally. If you want Bioware to think their ending isn't 'good enough', why would it make any difference whether people download it or watch it? Either way they've consumed it, and no one gains or loses anything (except that EA saves money and whoever uploads the video to Youtube first could get a massive subscriber base, giving them future income).

good point I will not watch it eather nor will I download the free explanation this sereies is over they lost me at artistic vision.

The OP's statement is garbage. They give us FREE DLC to clear up the ending, and you say we shouldn't download it because it isn't exactly what I want in the ending?

No. That's not what it's like. But nice try.....

Already complaining about a free offering that you haven't even seen yet. I'd be complaining too if their response to us was to shove it, or if they were charging for the ending DLC. I'm not saying I'm happy yet, but releasing the DLC for free is an act of good faith and I'll reserve judgement for after I actually see what is released. Of course, many people will refuse to be satisfied no matter what BioWare/EA does at this point.

i agree DO NOT DOWNLOAD DLC because if bioware sees that not many are downloading it they will get that this isnt good enough.

Or they will think, "Oh! I guess most people loved the original ending after all!"

I know BW sucks at making endings... but they're not stupid enough to think that.

(ignore this if you were sarcastic)

It is not about the ending DLC being free, it is about principle. It's exactly why you see people saying that they'll even pay for the "right ending." That's really not how you talk to a corporation, which is what BioWare is. Anyway, I'll be watching it on YouTube as well, and then see if it's worth downloading.

P.S. BioWare devs/mods, feel free to make a list of all the YouTube videos of the DLC and count the likes/dislikes ;-)

Pretty much what I'm going to do.

If by some miracle it is satisfactory, then I'll download it for future playthroughs.

Do the wise thing, download it, play it, then rate in on your repsective console's online store.
Will be fun to see either a 0 rating if it sucks, showing Bioware (again) that's not what the fans want.
I will however enjoy it if it addresses the major issues.

Okay, lesson for those new to these forums: the OP, and his/her attitude, represents exactly why Bioware should simply dismiss the rantings of the infamous "retake" movement. They're all happier just being angry. No ending would have ever satisfied them. They don't really have anything worthwhile to occupy their lives, so they waste time with this. They don't really even deserve to be here, clogging once-productive forums with this tripe.

But the good news is, they are starting to go away. Slowly, surely, they make their grand proclamations that they are turning their backs on Bioware forever, and the one positive to come from this is that we will not have to endure the self-serving, vapid rantings any longer.

Some people will never understand. I think this one chooses not to understand.

I am going to stay away from downloading it at first; if only to see what it entails . I don't think its going to actually address the problems with the ending or make it tolerable.
And if that is the case then I wont be playing ME3 in future so there is no point in me wasting my time, or taking up space on my HD when I wont play again with it.

That's only if it looks like it sucks. If it looks great then it be gettin downloaded and played.

If it DOES suck then not only will I not download it, but to underscore how much the franchise is ruined for me I will be uninstalling all the ME games. For the first time in 5 years I wont have an ME game installed on my computer at all.
I might even take Dragon Age off too.

I'm going to watch it on youtube first for one simple reason: The dropping galactic readiness. It's gonna be back to 50% by summer (probably already is now, or soon will be), I don't play multiplayer (only played it to get the readiness up) so I wouldn't be able to get the highest EMS score at the end. So I'm gonna check it out on YouTube to see whether it's any good. If it is, I'll download it, play multi and go ahead with the ending.

Ok, so you watch it on Youtube instead to decrease the number of downloads, then why wouldn't BW/EA just look at the number of Youtube views instead? I don't see how not downloading a free dlc, but watching it elsewhere achieves anything...

I've got nothing against it being cutscenes, dialogues & epilogues. If expands on the existing ones to give the multiple varied endings (yes, a happy one aswell as a bad one) then great! I'll hold my judgement until I've seen it.

Can people stop saying that "its free" bla bla, NO its not free. We payed for this when we bought the game. We bought a game with half an ending, the least BioWare and the rEApers can do is make up for it.

Doing what you're telling me to do seems like it would be a bit of a dick move, so I think I'll download it, watch it in proper context, and show Bioware that I appreciate that they made free, unplanned DLC purely for the sake of their fans' enjoyment. Even if it doesn't satisfy any of the issues I have with the ending (which I think it will, I'm a bit of an optimist), Mass Effect 3 was still the best game I've played in years, if not ever; a subpar ending doesn't ruin an entire game for me, let alone the whole series.
