"5. Unfortunately I find a Star Wars Syndrome happening with this series. A fan base digesting every bit of corn fructose they can gulp down. Needing everything to be spelled out; desperate to know every last bit of information."

Really, the Star Wars argument? Do you even know why people almost unanimously agree that Lucas raped the series with those prequels? It ain't just details, that's for sure.

Well, it's pretty obvious now you were just posting to get people riled up, so..

Yah yah, of course free DLC to clarify what happened still is not enough for the Retake Movement, BioWare is doing this just because of your outcry and it is still not enough, goes to show the greed of the movement, a blight on the gaming community really.

For anyone who didn't read (an excellent choice, I may add) I have prepared a paraphrase of the OP. "My opinion that the ending was awesome is right, you all have a different opinion because you're stupid. BioWare didn't change the ending so that proves my opinion is right. They have blown the winds of change by...err...not changing anything."

If you think he's a troll then STOP F***ING BUMPING THE DAMN THREAD.

Most of you have replaced others experiences with your own. You have lost your individuality by becoming absorbed into a mob mentality. You became part of a Retake Hivemind.

What happens when someone comes along and states a different view or offers new insight?

You attack, belittle, and use vitriolic statements. If that doesn't work, you demand others to be silent so that the thread is shunned into infinity.

The Retake Hivemind.

Creativity wins. Always. Checkmate.

Deus Ex disagrees when you say 'creativity'. And you're no better than an anti-conformist going againist everyone else to seem unique. And when someone offers fresh insight that is not arrogant, condescending, know-it-all, tripe which also ignores the dozens, maybe even hundreds, of issues with the endings I'll pay heed to it. Until then...

I will hold the line!

PS Who are you tell me what I've experienced?

A product that is produced for mass production, is not a product that can use "Artistic Integrity" as a defense. If this was a indie gaming company, yes, they could use this as a reason for their games, but then again, an indie gaming company wouldn't disfranchise their customers like Bioware is doing right now.

This isn't a victory for artistic integrity or creative freedom. This is a victory for crappy story telling.

Artistic integrity doesn't involve one writer absent at a narrative's inception locking himself away in a room to solely pen the ending to a piece of literature hitherho expertly constructed through the collaboration of an entire team.

The artistic integrity lies with the entire team, their efforts and what they produced. Their omission from the production of the ending violates said integrity. In other words, BW violated it themselves.

LOL. What an idiot you are. Tell actual fans to go play CoD when thier issue is that ME progressively tried to garner the CoD crowd?  Failing troll post failed.

I tried Fallout, but there is so much bull**** familly issues that i stopped. Also it's depressive. I don't like games with swords. Sci-fi is more acceptable than pseudo-past.

Yeah, someone who does not agree with The Movement is a troll, of course. You're geting repetitive. Then Bioware is a master troll, I presume?

MintyCool, I'm not sure what all the animosity is about here, but I for one think your post is well written, insightful, and shows a keen sense of observation. You make a lot of very salient points about themes and the imagery used to convey them. I wouldn't worry too much about the comments from some of these folks; I get the sense that many of them are barely literate.

Anyway, thanks very much for posting that. I wish Bioware would provide a separate forum for people who enjoyed the ending, and would like to discuss its meaning without being shouted down by people whose only contribution is a lack of imagination.

Cheers!
