Well I just posted this in General Discussion, not sure why it got deleted so I figured I'd post here instead...
Is the game linear or is it sandbox style?
I've heard its linear, but.. 60-80hours of linear gameplay?
How is that even possible

'Cause it's made by BioWare. It's kind of their "thing."pijankengur wrote...

Since its not unlocked for me, I dont really know; but Im guessing its like Baldur's Gate 2. The story itself was linear, but you could walk around and do it anytime you wanted. Chapter 2 is a good example.

Well the first two bigger Areas(Origin & Ostagar) are linear.
Then the World opens up to you.
as for 60 to 80 hours, well thats why they needed 5 years of work for it.

linear. You can head into areas and explore but it's not just one big area you are entirely free to explore.

I'm guessing it's somewhat as linear as Baldur's Gate 2, if not a bit more. I spent over a 100 hours on BG II.
Final Fantasies are pretty **** linear, and I tend to spend 50+ hours on 6, 7, 8 and 9 whenever I play them. And that's without beating all the superbosses (except in 6).
So yes, it is possible.

It's linear in the way that you have a story line to follow, there is side quests that you can do as you like if you dont want to push on the story line.

Linear, 60-80 hrs of linear gameplay is possible since Dragon Age is very likely to be story heavy.

Linear to some extent but there is a middle bit where get to choose what order you do some of the main quests in and also there are sidequests you can totally avoid or do
