To all people who will be visiting the Pax tomorrow: PLEASE behave yourselves! It'll only hurt the retake movement, if fans start throwing shoes or do any other ****. Stay calm and polite and remember them, that in the end WE are the ones they get their money from~

This is just painful to see. The entire thing is orchestrated by PR to the minute of the announcement release so that they look good to the media, and damn all the fans who actually care for your product.
Don't play into that, the only way for us to win something is to not show up in their panel. I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see their reaction if literally nobody attended.
I'll stick around, but not very much longer. I used to love you, BioWare, now it's like I don't even know you anymore.

If you think Bioware failed at PR you guys are completely wrong, its a huge success for them. They broke the protest group completely, dividing them to people who are fine with the upcoming DLC and people who still would like a new ending, while making sure anyone who still "cries" about the ending is a whiner (This includes PAX tomorrow). That way, most of the press will look at EA and Bioware as some sort of a saint, whilst it is not really the case. Its a win win situation for Bioware, press is sided with them while the line is broken.

^this Sadly is true.  Anything short of a massive unified civil protest plays directly into their hands. (MAYBE a press release or taking out (buying) a full page in a news paper with a short statement AND all fans signed.)

They are playing to the press, not the fans/customers.

They want to paint the fans as a small fringe group of uncivilized raging idiots. By releasing the press release right before PAX they make it all but impossilbe for them to lose.

IF - People ask about the ending and press them and get upset
Bioware/EA - See Press, they are raving lunatics.  Look at what we good people put up with.

IF - People don't ask them about the ending,
Bioware/EA - See Press, we fixed the problem with the "free" extending cut.  We are good.

True but the problem is that its still going to ****** of the loyal customers and only placate the customers who buy games based on appearances. Who are not the customers you want to placate because they are the most fickle and unloyal customers they are the ones who look for awesome graphics or awesome gameplay, neither of which are things bioware is even remotely good at. They are not the kind of people who will buy games because of the story, they are not the kind of people who will buy DA 3 even after DA 2 sucked because they want to see what the story is liek they are the people who will say "well DA 2 sucked so no way im buyind DA 3 it will suck too".

Its still bad PR in that regards, but Bioware has shown it clearly has no idea what its doing anymore, they arent even good at hiding the fact that they are just so arrogant and convinced that they cant make anything thats terrible that they will go to enormous measures to ignore the fact and prove (mostly to themselves) that everyone who "doesnt get it:" is just an idiot or a whiner. Their aproach to the entire incident hasnt been about keeping customers, if thats the goal then its one of the worst cases of mismanaging the situation I've ever seen. Its blatantly about them feeling slighted that someone doesnt agree that their work is a masterpiece, its devolved into a pissing contest between Bioiware and its fans.

Really at this point no matter what they do they lose, because they backed themselves into the corner by being to arrogant to admit they screwed up. Press might support them if fans cause a scene at PAX but most of their customers who would actualy read anythign the Press puts up are the same Fans who are yelling at them.

They are too busy trying to figure out how to come up with a way to explain their craptastic ending, that wont be just as bad as the ending was with only 3 months to do it (doubt they pull it off they should have gone for 6 then they might at least have fooled some people).

Any Attending Gamer can use this Panel to help imply to the Developers and other guys in the panel how thin the ice their on at the moment.

All they need to do is not clap when the panel starts.  Keep asking questions about why the ending inserts a character that had nothing to do with the other 2 games and your giving 3 options that are obviously traps intended by the reapers to control the outcome of the last cycle.

Basically all three ending means betraying people and if you played SHepered as someone who would never betray anyone you don't have the option of putting your faith in your allies and not the Reaper or a being using an image of someone the Commander feel guilt over.

I do wonder if the entire crowd start's booing would that give a bigger reactoin.  Bioware needs to save face and talk to the gamers about the problem now.  Instead of say their listening to the post's on the forum.  If they ask the question face to face with their panel they may get something done or at least make us less angry at them.

So far their just making us even more angry at them.

This maybe the fist time the Gamers are actually organizing together because they dislike a story and forming a boycott because of this.

You know there are going to be trolls, pro-enders (ie the vocal minority), and possibly plants getting up and saying, "I'm a Mass Effect fan and I just wanted you to know that I loved the ending.  Don't change a thing."

*Cue thunderous applause from reporters*

So, the Obama approach to public discontent?  One would hope they would know better, seeing how that has and is NEVER going to work.

But then again, this is the same bunch who made the endings...

(sigh)

Actually, this might be a good thing as you know not many questions will be asked, all we need is 1 smartass ME fan in the room asking questions like this:

Why did no one explore the citadel in 2700 years since the Asari discoverd it to figure out it was a reaper manufactoring facility with an advanced AI?

Why was the Collectors base behind the Omega 4 relay and not in the sealed of area`s of the Citadel where the Keepers/Collectors could kidnap people from all races from the poor area`s like the wards?

How did Cerberus managed to salvage the human Reaper from the Collectors base went we vaporised it?

Why did the Geth fall for the no windows trap again while they`re base had windows? I swear i heard Joker still laughing over the comms

Why did Sovereign had to breed an army of krogans when no matter if we saved the Rachni she got kidnaped and enslaved, and if we killed her, it was a monstrosity fabricated with the only difference being that explenation?

Why was Sovereign left behind as the "vanguard of our destruction" when the Reapers were able to travel to our galaxy within 3 years and Harbinger trying to harvest humans when they were "around the corner" to harvest the same amount of people in a few hours instead of 1 to 2 years?

Why did Kai Leng didn`t die on Thessia when trying to recharge shields while my combat drone was still ripping him apart??

How did Cerberus managed to be every where we went, when we just discoverd "it" our selfs?

Why didn`t the Council warn us that Cerberus was trying to take over the Citadel, they have quantum entanglement comms and used them befor?

How did a few Cerberus ships win from the Citadel Defense Force in the first place and with the beefed up security installed after ME1?

If the Crucibel was developed over countless cycles and each race add something of their own to it, how come no one had a clue what it was for?
Did they all found an half finished blueprint and thought "Must be an incomplete weapon against the Reapers so we`ll just add some bulkheads for god knows what reason and by sheer luck it fitted perfectly on the Citadel, that no one knew was that Catalyst, and gave the starbrat new options"?

Wich such huge advancement in computer graphics, did you use the old ME2 engine for portability instead of going with an option for dx11 that alot of pc`s can run fine these days?

There are numerous arguments circulating on the BioWare forums about the origin of space magic, with it`s own smiley :wizard:, was this genious plot twist imagined by the original writers or endorsed by them?

Did you ever thought of going with Steam instead of Origin as distribution platform, and if so, why not?

Back to Thessia, if the Asari had a fully working Prothean beacon, why was it shared only late ingame when anyone seeing such a large Reaper force attacking so many world would definitely be sharing such vital information, specially when they are a Council race?

Feel free to add your own and it would be brilliant of some one would start asking plothole questions that they can`t answer except "space magic! :wizard:" or simply say "uhh dlc content! (yea right)

What on earth are they going to talk about at PAX then? The ending controversy, and everything associated with it, is pretty much the giant elephant in the room regarding the game.

Bioware is done in my book for good!

But... I will hold the line for every year...
for every month...
for every week...
for every day...
for every hour...
for every minute...
for every second...
that I have spent playing a great series that Iam sad to see destroyed by its own creators.
