Bioware must have skimped on the PR department. They seem to be doing everything possible to alienate people who *want* to be on Bioware's side.

At this point it looks like pitchforks and torches time.

Seriously, This!

I'm pretty sure EVERYONE here would love to be on Bioware's side. Thing is, we're fans, we love talking about the series, we love the details, we love the plot. Then there's the ending, which is bad enough to cause this response.

What's amazing to me, is that everyone staying tight lipped. Seriously, this isn't a public filing, with data that will be used for trading stocks, this is the plot of a game for crying out loud. The fact that they can't just talk about what they meant with the ending with fans is in-freaking-sane. We would love nothing more than to chat about the ideas and "art" in the "ending". We don't like this being put in our face, and being told, "it's art". If I wanted art, I would have gone to a museum. I wanted more of what I got out of Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.

Let me say that again because I think it's important: I wanted more of what I got out of Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect 3 was about to deliver that, but the ending was so jarring and out of place, that I take zero enjoyment in playing ME1 or 2 again.

I'm an adult. I have a job, and errands. I don't have time to play EVERY game that comes out. So I'll just play something else. I love RPGs, but when Dragon Age 3 comes out, I probably won't rush out and buy it after the way this is being handled. After all, the games are supposed to be for the fans, not the reviewers. The metacritic score is telling, in that the fans feel differently than the "professionals"

I would love nothing more than to be happy with Mass Effect 3 and Bioware's products. I cannot be with the ending to ME3, as the standard set, going back to KOTOR, BG, Jade Empire, etc has been top notch. I cannot accept the implications of what is being said here. Either there has been an indoctrination attempt, and everything after Harbinger's beam was a dream/hallucination, or the ending is total and under plot hole filled crap. What really got me today is with the FAQ on the DLC, they're saying that there is no added gameplay, meaning that both of the options I laid out suck. Either the plot holes get to be explained away, (I have my doubts, as they're huge plot holes), or I don't get to play the best part of the game.

Luke Skywalker got Vader in the end. Luke got the emperor in the end. He confronted both. Shepard confronted Soverign on Vermire. That's good storytelling. We never confronted Harbinger.

Why does this much get written about this? Because we love Mass Effect. Sadly, with this reaction, it's time to move on. Not discussing with your fans to protect integrity? After the "final" game in the series is out? Right. Treat us with respect. We want interaction, not PR.

Exactly. Thank you.

first i couldn't wait until PAX because i was certain bioware would blow us all away. then i wasn't looking forward to it all that much after today's announcement. now i can't wait to see it again, only becuase i have a feeling it's gonna be all kinds of ugly.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I would rather Bioware give us something, some footage from what they're working on. It would be doubly awesome if it was just a few more seconds of the scene where Shepard takes a breath. I don't think any of the fan theories are discounted because nothing they said hints at all as to what they're actually doing. Not knowing hurts the most.

Wow I think they missed the last Relay transit run before they blew them up, They seriously lost touch with either Earth or Reality...

This is the exact same reaction you get when a married politician gets caught sexting some young girl. A quick blurb and then a bunch of "no comment." Way to look guilty BW.

We've been waiting for ****ing weeks because they said 'we'll be able to talk in April about the content'. April comes 'there will be DLC, we can't talk about it'. And that DLC is MONTHS away. I thought this was a collaboration, and on-going dialogue. We know nothing more, really, than we did a week ago.

This ****ing company man...

I just wanted to say you pretty much put my EXACT thoughts into words better than i ever could. this is maybe the best post i've read on BSN regarding the endings. thank you very much.

Actually, this might be a good thing as you know not many questions will be asked, all we need is 1 smartass ME fan in the room asking questions like this:

::snip wall of questions text::

Feel free to add your own and it would be brilliant of some one would start asking plothole questions that they can`t answer except "space magic! :wizard:" or simply say "uhh dlc content! (yea right)

I have no idea who you are...but i think I love you for this. ;)

Now theyre attempting to dodge the big question

Its as if theyre scared of us or something oh wait they might be wanna know why?

We have money and what we choose to do with our money would scare the living hell out of me if I worked for Bioware/EA at this point in time

This. I mean seriously, do they even realize how deep they're digging their own graves with the statements they've made? They're practically flipping us all off left and right.

I'm disgusted, but not exactly surprised. Putting out a blog post and forcing fans to vent on the internet takes a lot less guts than being willing to discuss the issue with the fans face-to-face at PAX.
