All their going to get questions on is the ending to Mass Effect 3 and how they're going to NOT fix it and screw themselves.

Are you committing economic suicide? Yes.
Are you alienating your fan base? Yes.
Did you gather all that fan feedback and then ignore it? Yes.
Are you all pompous gits? Of course!

Pretty much. . .

I find their refusal to really discuss the endings very disappointing. Even more so when so many people posted that they would discuss the endings once enough people had finished the game. I guess enough people will finish ... this summer?

All that was said was that the Extended DLC wouldn't be discussed. That said, what are they going to do if every fan keeps asking questions on the ending, and they pass? They just going to pass on every question?

Let's be realistic here.

im 100% sure they will have some agents planted to ask "clever" question
EA will make sure of this.

Is this really coming as a shock? You had to be insane if you didnt think they wouldnt talk about the ending / screen questions weeks out from this.

This...is rich.

And the mob will start arming in 3....2....1....

How does all these stupid choices not seem like a bad idea to them? Serious question there.

1-Pre-release promises that they knew ME3 couldnt keep.

2-Announcing they will expand on the ending (which we wanted NEW endings), while saying they are listening.

3- Saying they wont talk about the ending related issues at PAX.

Its like painting a giant target on yourself and expecting people to not try to shoot you.

Okay, I was willing to be cool about this until we got more details at PAX.  I even wrote a whole thread about it earlier today.

But, according to Jessica Merizan's twitter account, they arent even planning to talk about the DLC at all at tomorrow's PAX panel.

"Our PAX panel will not be discussing the issue in any further detail than today's announcement" -Jessica Merizan

That's...that's really sad.

UPDATE: incase you were thinking it may have been a mistake -

User 1: are we going to have more information on the dlc at PAX? or we already have all the information we can have at this point?

JM: yup, no additional info at PAX.

If you're an organisation involved in a controversy or scandal and you don't want to answer questions about it, the worst thing you can do is hold a press conference and release a statement beforehand that says you're not going to talk about THE ISSUE THAT EVERYONE IS GOING TO WANT TO TALK ABOUT.

If you're not willing to take the heat, your best bet is to stay the f*** out of the kitchen. Don't antagonise folks by slamming the door on the issue that's right at the top of everyone's mind.

I will cut them some slack on the idea of expanding on the current ending. As much as I don't like the ending, I doubt they'd make me happy with a new one. That damage is done. Meanwhile, one of the big complaints I have is that we just don't know what they heck is going on. We don't see the fates of most squad members and the ones we do see have fates that don't make any sense. This should give them a chance to "fix" that.

They better be ready for a crap storm because you know this is ALL they will be asked about unless they only take questions from employees hidden in the crowd.

OK, you won't be discussing what he fans want to discuss?
Why are you here?
Are you aware that a LOT of die-hard fans are now former fans?
How does it feel to work at a company on it's downhill slope?
Do you see Bioware still being a studio in 2 years?
How proud do you feel to have contributed to an ending that has done nothing but destroy the very series you worked so hard on?
How about these questions?

Are you kidding me? You will just sit there while fans ask you questions?

"Fixing the ending? We already dismissed that claim. You just too stupid to understand our magnificent artistic vision"

Good job getting rid of your fanbase. Every time I think you could not handle this any worse, you just up the ante.

Un-bloody-believable

OP: That is exactly why they made the announcement today. Don't need to be talking EXTENDED CUT when they can talk PAID DLC and NEW GAMES!!

With the prelaunch statements being fulfilled how could we really expect to have someone shoot straight with us.

I just wish BW's business integrity was as strong as their "artistic integrity".  If they'd have told us all along what they were shooting for I wouldn't have bothered with their stuff.   Oh wait that's exactly why they didn't tell us.

Well, even though I wasn't shocked, it doesn't mean that I'm not upset.

Over the past two weeks, I've felt a wide array of emotions from sadness to anger to total confusion. I also feel totally betrayed. It may sound overdramatic, especially for a video game, but it's the truth.

I was never militant in the Retake movement, but I was supportive. I respected Bioware. But if they continue to keep up the lack of communication, which is very likely, then they've lost my respect.

I tried. I really tried to not jump to conclusions about the developers. I was most willing to give them a second chance. But it seems that they have been completely blinded by their egos.

We listen to fans.....

We just don't want to talk to them or act on anything they suggest when we don't like what they have to say. Now hopefully people see the truth.

Lol, it's like they're trying to make everyone even more annoyed with them.

I can only imagine what PAX will be like then.

I've tried to tell people to chill, and reserve judgement. But seems like they're not talking to us anyway. Ignore the mod and pound them with the hard questions.

That's why I'm disappointed that they won't address this at all at PAX.  Stalling with press releases, so they can stall with more press releases.
