There is going to be one hell of a big elephant in that room.

I don't know how they're going to be able to make it through without everyone asking questions about the ending. Are they going to have guys come down the isles and sedate people who bring it up or something? -that was a joke-

Funny how BioWare's PR is pretty much just to stick their fingers in their ears and yell "I CAN'T HEAR YOU! LALALALALALALA!"

All I want is some honesty, no more hiding behind PR talk and "artistic integrity" just talk to us. Tell us how you came up with the ending, how you felt when the backlash about the ending first hit, etc. Just talk to us. I know their a buisness and need to take the proper steps for this situation, but damn im tired of bioware/EA sounding like a bunch if robots. Honesty!!

This is was really gets me.  Artists don't talk about their work like robots.

Considering that we won't see it until the summer, that isn't surprising one bit. People need to chill out. They have nothing to show more than likely, and talking about it would probably spoil it.

Spoil it?
Rright now people want to be spoiled.
Even when it comes out, most of the people will probably go watch it on Youtube first and spoil it for themselves before deciding whether or not to download it anyway.
This is exactly what we want, don't hold back, tell us your game plan, tell us how exactly do you plan to fix this catastrophe. Give us every juicy detail that you have planned, seriously, because until then we absolutely don't see how anyone can possibley fix the broken and non-sensical endings.

By not talking about it they hope that even if it's bad people will still hold hope that it's good.

That hope got flushed as soon as they said no new endings

Obviously they can't please everyobdy, but they are handling this in the worst possible way.
Saying nothing and trying to hock multiplayer crap isn't going to sate anyone.

This one speaks with the true. PR department doesn't seem very wise.

I really, really hope I'm being an **** for complaining.

I really hope that they're doing something great for free and my response is yelling at them, making me out to be the biggest idiot of all time.

I really hope so.

But I doubt it.

After the announcement today, I think that ship has sailed. Unless they want to do a 180 tomorrow and declare IT to be true.

A moment ago you gave us hope, and now you are denying our chance to ask you some questions about the hope you had just given us?
it's actually the perfect chance to hype up the DLC

why would you do that to us? Merizan

im heart broken

This is a major embarrassment for Bioware. I am not surprised that they won't talk about it. I just hope the DLC does something of merit.

This really reminds me of back in the day when Deus Ex 2 came out. I was a huge fan of part 1 and I went to e3 to check out 2. After an extended playthrough, I saw that it was very very bad. I made a forum post on it. But I was largely ignored and called a naysayer. Then it came out and people saw it was crappy. The same dev excuses btw. Even though the faults in Deus Ex 2 were actually owed to being designed for the XBox1 (hence the small levels because of limited hardware and the simplified rpg system because of the console audience of the time) the dev team still claimed they were persuing an "artistic vision" or some nonsense.

Its an easy excuse and devs will cling to it rather than actually addressing the reality.

In any case, we have a lesson we have learned: we must now be cautious with Bioware products. Whether this is because of their new "artistic visions" (less likely) or because of EA meddling (more likely) is insignificant. Do not buy anything until some REAL reviews come out. No pre-orders... no release day buys... Ignore IGN and the mainstream press. They are yesmen. Wait for real gamers to put in their 2 cents.

Also, wait for the DLC. I have faith that Bioware will do good here. They have alot riding on this.

Maybe they should talk about what their going to do with the organized boycott among the gamers to protest the endings in ME 3. (That should make them take it more seriously)

They can talk about or they can be pelted with vegetables....they don't really have a choice, pretty much everything they say will be booed.

They might as well not take any fan questions then since all of them will be asking about the ending. If they do ask questions then you can bet they will all be crowd plants by EA/Bioware. Full damage control mode.

This makes more sense when after hearing that the PAX pannel won't be shown on a live feed. Any footage they release I bet will be edited or from the consumers there poor audio and video quality.

This panel is just going to have a bunch of plants asking softball questions like "How did you guys manage to make your game so awesome?"

You mean how Microsoff paid that one guy to buy a Kinect on launch even though said guy was aprofessional that has been to multiple launch events already and was identified in less than an hour after the pics hit the web?

This is going to be the shortest panel ever.

"Can you say something about the endings!"

"We cannot say anything about the endings at this time."

"Can you say anything about the DLC!"

"We cannot talk about upcoming DLC at this time. ...Does anyone have any non-endings or DLC-related questions?"

*awkward silence*

*sympathetic cough from somewhere in the audience*

"...So, who was your favorite Mass Effect character?"

*room empties*

I would feel sorry for Weekes, but this is the best way the panel could go if they refuse to take questions on the ending or on the DLC.

I recall a thread being posted earlier, preempting this.

I smell a ****storm brewing.

What we really should do is organize a Retake movement to *not* show up at the panel. Though it might be a little late in the game to get it so that absolutely no one shows up.

Well, to be fair, none of the people who made the decision: Casey, Waters, or the 2 doctors, will be there. The other devs shouldn't have to answer for decisions they almost certainly had no serious input into.

It does not speak well of Casey, Waters of the 2 doctors, of course, that they aren't at PAX, but whatever.

This isn't going to end well for Bioware. They are really pushing the fanbase to the edge and this is about to break any line holding us in peace and that word is used lightly based on pass weeks. I know this, if Bioware does nothing at PAX then I will leave them and go to other companies who know how to treat their customers with respect and care.

This I don't like. The extended cut is one thing, but having PR deal with fans is something else.
