I can't see how anyone is surprised by this. This is exactly why the announced the DLC like they did. Now they don't even have to deflect, they can decide the topic of conversation because anyone asking will just be painted as "hard of hearing".
As much as EA and Bioware finally had to relent just this once they are now back in the saddle of PR.
They totally control the narrative and the retakers are bickering about what to make of the ending DLC. We can't gain more headway than we did by getting them to release free content and rearrange the schedule. (somethign that is huge when considering how EA usually operates).
And to be honest, we can't do much until we know exactly how it plays out. And byt he time it does, it won't matter anymore. ME3 won't be a story anywhere in the media landscape and perhaps not even online except in some gamedesign classes and in the minds of the few people on this world who still value a good rpg.
We won the battle but have probably lost the war. We can only hope it's a pyrrhic victory for EA. IF EA crashes then maybe a better investor/publisher can buy Bioware.
