Let's just hope that EA keep their dirt claws of CD Project.

Yeah, and when CDPR puts a foot out of line, you'll turn on them, too.

For those that haven't played it, Witcher 2 is great. There are several choices with significant consequences. They are certainly up and coming and deserve our support. I think BioWare still has a chance to redeem itself. I wish they could extricate themselves from fugpusc.

It's sad because those guys have Bioware roots. If only EA and Bioware could see how to treat the fans.

Bioware should have stayed with Microsoft. At least you don't hear to much of how Microsoft screws fans over.

Would just like to point out that Bioware have been berated by some over their 'short' 4 hour DLC's in the past :P I guess it's all a little subjective.

Larian and Paradox are another couple of European studios that are good to their fans.

Yeah, CD Projekt is my new BioWare. They did lie a bit before TW2 released (amount of endings) but the difference here is that they listened to constructive fan criticism by adding A LOT of free content.

Already bought TW2 for PC and pre-ordered for 360, they deserve the money for how they treat their customers.  Maybe CD Projekt gets enough 360 sales to buy BioWare, what?!? I can dream!! Posted Image

Both companies made big announcements today! What did they say? Let's see:
BioWare: we won't change our ending, but we'll pretend we like you, so we'll make you some cutscenes so you could just shut up. They are free, but you gotta wait 'till the summer.
CD Projekt: The Witcher 2 was pretty short, so we made a giant DLC that adds 4 hours of gameplay and 33 minutes of cutsenes and is free for everyone who bought the game. Plus, people who bought the physical copy of the game can have a GoG.com backup copy for free. Plus, there is also an iPhone and iPad app that tells the events of first Witcher. Like Mass Effect 2: Genesis DLC, only it's free. Oh, and we give away free GOG.com copies of Fallout to anyone in next 48 hours.

So, which company is superior in your opinion?

I'm already a big fan of gog and CD projekt : playing witcher 1 at the momemt and waiting for the extended 2!!!

I don't espect much of Bioware and ME3 after the today announcement...

JPR out!

That really is hilarious isn't it...in a horrifically ironic way, but still, hilarious that MS isn't the one earning the ire of the gaming public. Probably because they are a software company first, with gaming as sort of an offshoot that I bet most are comfortable to just leave well enough along so long as it is profitable enough (since the xbox is really a vector to get them in the home, not just about games).

Was very interested in CD Projekt Red, and had been following details on The Witcher 2 release for Xbox.  Then after I had my own personal self-detonation after experiencing the ME3 endings, my wife (I love my wife) ordered W2 for me.  Certainly seems to me that CD Projekt Red is the kind of company Bioware used to be before EA bought them.  Can't wait until April 17th; I have a feeling W2 will take away some of the ME3 pain, and CD Projekt Red will become my new favorite game developer.

Difference is Biotronic Arts charged for theirs.  CDPro gave theirs away.  Nice name, by the way!

3 of my gaming friends have already decided to skip Mass Effect 3 and jump to Witcher 2 and/or Diablo III. They aren't Retakers or forum-goers, they just decided that either of those two titles were a smarter choice for their time and money.

I'm sure they'll borrow or pick up or bargain copies of ME3 eventually, but this is not a year short on excellent RPG gaming or gaming in general, and I really hope BioWare produces something that can grab their attention. Otherwise, they'll be hard to pull away.

Never heard of Larian but I agree about Paradox. Love Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Victoria, and Crusader Kings.

I have no love for CDPR whatsoever because I can't really play their games due to personal preference.
I'm also not impressed with their juvenile approach to sexuality in TW1.

I have no issue with their overall practices when it comes to providing games for their customers. Problem?

Same thing that happens to every developer EA latches on to. Slow death.

Call me when they start making games that don't force you to play as a bony, white haired ponce and I'll be all over them.

Same.

Don't forget about Bethesda. It
seems privately owned companies or companies that don't have the
publisher breathing down their neck at every minute actually make great
games and care about their fanbase.

Bioware can be among that group, they just have to be willing to.

HAH.
I agree but if you try saying that on Bethesda's forums most of the
elder scrolls fans there will come at you  and state the exact opposite.
And berate you for thinking otherwise XD

I torrented the witcher 2 today to see if my computer can run it.

That's a negative. Oh well, guess I have to buy it on xbox instead of steam, much to my chagrin. The enhanced edition is going to absolutely kick ass though! Can't wait!
The Witcher 1 had an amazing story!.... And conclusion.

CD Project is a better company, that cares about their customers.

Bioware is now part of EA and just cares about their profits, not their customers.

BioWare is not even close to CDP RED when it comes to PR and customer care/love.

Greed and growing into a giant beast tends to do that.
