I love CD Projekt. Their games are not perfect. Other than the ending I feel ME3 was a more polished game than TW2 (pre-ordered for PC last year, AWESOME). However, CD Projekt as a developer has balls. They really push the envelope with their story telling and I get the impression that they really care about their fans. I will continue to support them for being one of the few companies willing to make a truly dark video game. Maybe it has to do with being from Poland? I don't know.

In any case, I'm ready for TW3, an expansion pack...anything. Can't wait for the extended edition TW2. Just wish I hadn't bought it on Steam with their ridiculous update system.

EDIT:  The thought of EA buying CD Projekt gives me nightmares.  If there is a God, he will intervene to prevent such a great evil from befalling gamers.

BioWare is a sinking ship.

I'll give this CD Projekt my money next.

CD Project, while they are small and their games aren't perfect I love their games. Hopefully they give the sci-fi genre a go..,

I really wish I could get into Witcher, but I just can't play RPGs where I have to play as a guy. Still, they sound like an awesome company, and if they ever make anything with a more open protagonist, I will totally throw money at them. EVerything I've heard about them makes me really respect them.

That is due because the games are heavely based on popular books by Andrzej Sapkowski.  Sex cards are not in Witcher 2.  Sex however is and mostly not well liked/receeved in USA.  To blunt/raw and very revealing compared to Biowares approache.

Please for the love of God stop this type of talk. EA will buy them out and destroy them like Bioware and every other studio they killed off.

TW2 was one of the, if not the best, medieval fantasy RPG I have ever played.  I think the 360 release of TW2 enhanced edition will be a success, both critically and more importantly, with the players.

Also, CDPR patches their games and treat their customers right.  Perhaps in the future they'll develop games from  stories that don't have a specific protagonist so that more gamers who like to play as a female can come onboard.

I've only played about 21 hours of The Witcher 1 and was still no where near the ending. Needless to say, when Witcher 2 came out I picked that up in a heartbeat.

Still have to finish it, of course, because I got distracted by other things (Skyrim), but this enhanced edition has made me itching to play it.

They are kind of cheap. EA, Activision, or Ubisoft. take your pick

yes, it's good but there is day and night cycles and quests can expire so be wary of that

Meh, it's a good game, but you can tell it was their first rodeo.  Combat is repetitive and simple, and their are a lot of copy/pasted character models throughout.  The journal is convoluted and it's not paced very well.  It's a cult hit, but it has it's problems.

TW2 is a big improvement.

Yeah, and when CDPR puts a foot out of line, you'll turn on them, too.

I have no love for CDPR whatsoever because I can't really play their games due to personal preference.
I'm also not impressed with their juvenile approach to sexuality in TW1.

I have no issue with their overall practices when it comes to providing games for their customers. Problem?

Juvenile approach? Women weren't treated all that well in medieval times. Atleast the sexuality in The Witcher fits the setting compared to the unyielding turd that is ME3's ending.

I prefer TW1 than neverwinter. also, just ignore the sex card thingie if its not your cup of tea
TW 1 often go on sale now. worth every penny...and more...

-pre ordered TW2 based on my experience with TW 1

The implied sex with every other woman you meet is no longer existent in the witcher 2. Sex cards are gone. You have sex with a handful of people at your discretion and its circumstantial. Also prostitutes...but those are realistic and optional

Witcher 1 was nice..and very very long. Witcher 2 was phenomenal and the best game I had played since me2 at the time.
You can skip ahead to witcher 2, Cd projekt did a series reset of sorts with witcher 2

i kind of remember I have to work hard to get the cards in TW1. as in...really put effort hunting them.
I also felt it was appropriate for the setting. where...you know... its being middle ages and such....

not really sure though. its been few years

So, Bioware, of course.
