Mass Effect 3 Online Community is Awful.

My experience with the community online is not a pleasant one at all.
For starters, the other players. Multiple threads posted already have addressed many rude or unfair actions done by many (for example, going AFK, exploiting glitches, completely disregarding other players to stay alive, kicking players out for no general reason, etc.) My main point in this: How does BioWare expect people like me to continue paying for their damned services and recommend it to my acquaintances (at this point, I'm not gonna ever) if the community is so rude, discriminatory, or selfish? Single Player only holds one's interest for so long. Eventually people are going to swtich to multiplayer, and they are going to find that their experience will just be as awful as mine.
My other main concern is how unprepared the multiplayer section of the game was. The incident with Operation Raptor? I believe it could have been avoided if the game spent more time in beta for people to find this exploit and fix it. I'm not happy I haven't received my commendation pack, at all. I feel that the game was rushed, and the result of that was many unhappy consumers, which only leads to attacks directed toward the companies involved in the game's production. And in the end, it only affects everyone involved.
This is not an attack directed at BioWare, EA, or anyone. I am not some professional critic who writes for a magazine or game news like Game Informer or G4TV.
I am simply a harmless seventeen year old boy who's a senior in high school that did not enjoy his experience. I highly doubt it will happen, but all I hope for is that EA or BioWare takes a look at this, and looks back at the things that did not go well with Mass Effect 3. Maybe then, they can make updates, patches, or even apply the changes in an upcoming game, so that consumers will be happy and enjoy the game.
This post is simply my opinion. People are more than welcome to share their experiences and opinions here if they so desire to.

Yeah, every now and then it's annoying, but last now I got together with two Krogans, and one other Asari adepts, and in between every round we'd all stand there and headbutt / asari adept melee explosion in celebration. It was quite fun, for whatever silly reason.
Don't let it get you down. try a few more matches and see if it improves.
As for not getting your pack, yeah, that sucks. If it's any consolation, the stuff you get from it is basically worthless. I'd gladly gift you my Crusader shotgun, if I could. What a PoS.

So far I've had a good time. But I only started yesterday and have only done Bronze. It may be that folks on bronze, either not being "elite" or being experienced players slumming for fun, don't act like jerks as much.
Apparently Silver is jerkwad central. Pick up as many firends as you can in bronze so you don't have to play to many public matches.
Chances are on gold people will be slightly more inclined to carry lower level people just beginning to play gold. On silver they're not able to carry you so you get booted, in the hope that your replacement will be some god-like player with a BW X or **** like that.

Then, I started Silver and Gold missions. I've had multiple level 20 characters already, and if I were to join a lobby with one of these characters, there's been a 75% chance that I am kicked out immediately. For what reason, no one ever says. If they were saving a spot for a friend, then it would have been nicer to either create a private lobby, or to ask me to leave.
And I've only been playing for a few weeks.

2)If you don't have friends online, then make friends.

I think that the community is fairly good. At least as a gold player most people in randoms seem to know that they're going to have to work together, and I actually haven't been kicked out of a gold lobby ever(I only ever use level 17+ characters), not even when I was playing a Soldier.
Of course, after seeing WoW's community, pretty much everything looks good in comparison.

That'd be the easy way to do it. But I don't have that many friends, in real life or on Xbox Live (yeah, I play on the 360.) I can try to make new friends, but it'd probably help if I wasn't kicked out of lobbies.
For anyone who is interested by the way, my Gamertag is Codemon.
Feel free to send me a request if you wanna play.

I agree with you. But then again, WoW's community is really only people who try to be immature, people who troll the general and trade channels, and then the scammers and advertisement accounts.
And then, you've got your elitists, who only care for people who are as good as they are, or better.

The only thing you really can do is ignore it and find enjoyable people to play with.

No matter HOW TERRIBLE you are, I won't boot you unless you're "AFK" or not readying up. As long as you're a team player, I'll keep you around. Maybe you can't kill enemies efficiently or at all yet 'cause you haven't unlocked better gear. That's fine. Everyone starts somewhere. As long as you're emptying rounds into enemies and TRYING to get kills and help us all out, I appreciate you. As long as you're running to objectives to try to defend them or take them out... Or you're running to revive squadmates... As long as you're HELPING the team, you're a welcome addition.
Most people kick because you don't have some magical "specific" loadout they want you to carry. I've noticed that I'll get booted out of Gold for using a Level 1 Phalanx on a Human Male Sentinel. But, if I switch to my Human Male Soldier using a level 8 Phaeston, I'm about 90% likely to stay in the match without being kicked.
Most people are just "elitist" in this game. I wish you COULD NOT see the loadouts of other players. Just the level race and class should be enough. It shouldn't show everyone what you're using and what level it is and what equipment you're using with which mods... That stuff just leads to a lot of unnecessary booting.

Look at all the people who asked for their money back from Child's Play, or the idiots who actually voted EA as the worst company of 2012. Over the Bank of America. It's shaming, is what it is.

I have already built up a friends list of 11 really good players who are usually online when i am. basically most of the negativity i face is here on the forums not out in game!
As far as commendation packs go, again i have had no problems, the longest i had to wait was 24 hours and that was within the given time-frame so i really can't complain.
All in all i am happy and as long as Bioware keep the events coming and give us a few nice maps/new charactors to play with over the summer i fully intend to continue playing!
