Most people dislike the ending for reason x (yesyes, they are similar and we all know em). However, some people like it for reason z.
Alot of people will be unhappy with the "Extended Cut DLC" and I gotta say, reading that blog made my carefully optimistic view take a nosedive.
The best way would simply be: Mod-tools!
- The ones who can be arsed to learn how to use it can create their own ending or addenum.
- The ME-universe gets to thrive on its own while you still own it!
Think about it, Bioware. You'd restore alot of lost faith and possibly increase the want for ME-products.
Take Fallout f.ex. There are alot of great mods, but the scope and quality of the official DLC is simply higher. I actually think you would get more revenue for it. You will probably be able to take quite a few fully developed ideas and put them in your game!

(see, I still love ME. It strokes me just right and Id hate to see it go the way of cancelled projects. Its just that it had its period on prom-night...well, thats a bit weird, but anyway...give us mod tools!)
