Because BioWare has essentially implied (which, admittedly, is not confirmation) that Control or Synthesis kills Shepard. If they use IT, I'll admit I'll be impressed, even though I don't agree with it. But they have given their implications, for what little that's worth anymore.Rooster8227 wrote...

People told me I wouldn't be able to admit when Bioware told me IT was not true and asked if I would apologise..
So here it is.
I'm sorry I pushed indoctrination theory.
I'm sorry for the false hope I may have gave to you.
I'm sorry for when I portrayed IT as truth and not theory.
I'm sorry for implying that people who could not see it were confused
I'm sorry for saying you were wrong for thinking bad writing was the problem (turns out it is)
So there. To all of those who got confort from thinking IT would solve thier confusion, i'm sorry for letting you down and plopping you back into the same pit of sorrow you came from, now with even more dissapointment.
I originally wanted to say sorry to Bioware, but they will never get that response now.
EDIT ADD:
I may not have been the first, but I was here from the start of it and was one of the major supporters of it. Not trying to claim that all the creativity behind it was from me. Many conributed to its great ideas.
Frankly, I don't care what Bioware says. IT is the best and most logical ending to the Mass Effect trilogy, and as far as I and my imagination are concerned, it is the real ending. And Bioware has no say over the IT endings I can create with my imagination. So thanks for championing the best ending that could have happened to a sci-fi series.

And don't worry, IT people meant well. I did not agree with them believing in it as fact (I always thought people should have treated it as theory) - but you meant well.

I hate to say it, but I was right - and that kills me more than admitting I was wrong would. Sadly, Bioware honestly DGAF about us.
I feel I should be apologising to you and your kind on behalf of Bioware though. You came up with possibly the greatest twist in gaming history since 'Would you kindly', and Bioware decided it wasn't good enough, they were too proud to acknowledge it. YOU are better developers than Bioware, and honestly I wish you guys had a studio.

Retakers, Pro enders we would all do well to be a little more like this man (or woman). A person who owns up to their mistakes, who can admit their faults may not be right, but they'll never be 'wrong'.
What is wrong with you people? This kid acted like a total douchce. I literally had to report hoim 9 times in a single thread because he kept calling me a troll and calling me stupid for not seeing IT was true.
If you wife/husband punched you in the mouth every night and said sorry I bet you would stay with them because they are so big to say sorry.
NO you don't act like a complete douche to begin with. lol this kid seriously stalked my threads for days and days. He is nothing more then a little whiney kid that now feels bad for himself and wants sympathy. Look up ANY of my old posts, where people THANKED ME for making them and there he is spouting his venom every chance he got.
What a joke.
Frankly if this is an example of what he had to deal with, screaming and insults after a civil post, then my sympathies lie with him.
He isn't just apolgizing, he is admitting he was wrong. A hard thing to do, something most wouldn't do. And if you can't be the bigger man and accept that then what does that say about you?

Demanding a proper ending is a mistake? Because that's what Retake is
about. How is that wrong? How is that a mistake that needs to be
apologized for?
Actually I am proudly Retaker, but that isn't what I was saying. I was applauding his class and decency in admitting he made a mistake and sought to own up to it.
For the record I do not oppose IT, though I never believed in it.
And I am vocally involved in getting an ending DLC that does more than merely clarify.

IT was based on the assumption that Bioware is pulling a 'stunt' and that there will be 'true ending' released shortly after the game, big surprise "we got you haha!" and what not and that only people who had Shep survived would be able to play it, since it was the the only way to break from indoctrination.Rooster8227 wrote...

The fact that EC will not come out till sometime in summer and that they are flat out saying that it completly changed their DLC plans confirms that nothing was ever planned.

This. I don't know a lot of people that wanted to be right. I sure as heck didn't want to be. I would have loved IT to be real and be wrong. But I just knew it wasn't.

You know. As to your last paragraph. It really would have been nice to get more acknowledgement from Bioware about how great IT was. Not for me or any one individual but for simply how amazing of a job people here, on youtube and blogs etc did. there really is alot of creativity and great ideas out there. I would think Bioware would at least give them a nod.

How many times have the trolls and/or people you argued with on the internet given you a long apology?
Cmon man, this is the internet, Im very close to insulting you for little to no reason in this reply, even the tone of my post is condesending and rude, and Im never going to apologize for it.

Bioware should hire you to write for em, tbh.
Otherwise, I would take any job at Bioware in an instant, In any capacity. But I am probably a little to "real" for thier liking right now. I doubt they would want to hear my critisisms.

This right here. I appreciate you being humble enough to apologise, OP. A lot of people did try to shove it down our throats and imply we weren't thinking hard enough if we didn't accept it, so I appreciate this.

Honestly, the only way I was able to understand the ending was indoctrination, as is without a change. Still could be possible a 'clarification' would make this clearer. After all, why does Shepard wake up in an entirely different place alive after the destroy ending when starchild said it would kill him?
