Not clear why you are apologizing...seriously.

You had an opinion, you voiced it. No different then 90% of the people in these forums.

Dude, no apologies, u did great job! U solved all plotholes with your theory, explained what developers could not. And actually when I learned about IT - my mood became better, not so depressed like it was after completing the game. And even if developers r still holding their line with this ABC nonsence - I will keep my thoughts as it was never happened.

Where does the Bioware statements say the DLC will kill IT?

Honestly if IT doesn't work I'm going to mail EA my copy with a very... Hostile letter about how much I despise their handling of this issue. Might even add a verbatim quote of IT's original post to get the point across.

So here it is.
I'm sorry I pushed indoctrination theory.
I'm sorry for the false hope I may have gave to you.
I'm sorry for when I portrayed IT as truth and not theory.
I'm sorry for implying that people who could not see it were confused
I'm sorry for saying you were wrong for thinking bad writing was the problem (turns out it is)

So there. To all of those who got comfort from thinking IT would solve thier confusion, i'm sorry for letting you down and plopping you back into the same pit of sorrow you came from, now with even more dissapointment.

I originally wanted to say sorry to Bioware, but they will never get that response now.

EDIT ADD:
I may not have been the first, but I was here from the start of it and was one of the major supporters of it. Not trying to claim that all the creativity behind it was from me. Many contributed to its great ideas.

And here we are... After having wasted* so much time on the ME games, we wasted more time speculating about the Indoctrination Theory as it will most likely turn out to be untrue, just the fans' pure ingenious speculation, nevertheless ingenious. I was tempted to use the word 'delusion' instead of speculation.

* I say 'wasted' because end of the day, looking at how the series end, all the choices you made didn't matter at all. You invested time, energy, emotion (not to mention money) into something which gives you the magical A/B/C ending fix.

This. Nice to see you can admit you were wrong, though it would have been nice if it was right.

Dude, for all I know, it's IT that happened in the end. And it's because of you and all those added to this amazing theory. Sad to see it didn't come to fruition, but I love you for lighting up the fire of hope. That ability to think creatively and inspire others is awesome. If BioWare won't pick you up, they should at least learn.

Most of us just couldn't accept that it was just bad writing. I mean.. this is Bioware so ..yeah. Turns out it is though.

Thanks for the dream though OP. It'll be my head canon.

What's funny is...that IT had so much working for it, I mean bioware was on the edge of a colossal mind-blowing amazing twist/ending to ME3.

But EA said no, and instead we get to have a few more minutes of cutscenes and little to no dialogue, and Mac gets to keep his franchise-killing ending, and his artistic integrity at the cost of a major chunk of the ME fanbase.

OP: Don't beat yourself up, clearly most of the evidence for IT was there when they abandoned the original indoctrination sequence gameplay.

Don't beat your self up OP. The theory did make sense and it had some strong evidence. I think we all wanted Bioware to have planned this so we could still have faith in them. They never gave us reason to doubt them till this.

Remember it's still just a video game. Sooner or later we'll all move on and fall in love with the next epic RPG to come out. It'll happen some day

oh and btw Hypno-toad = win

Well, the fact that there were so many clues pointing to it shows just how terrible the writing is. Don't feel bad, you just expected Bioware to write an ending with a greater degree of competance than an 11 year old. Sadly, we were all wrong on that point.

It was a good enough theory Bioware could have grabbed hold of and used it to change the mess they created.. I watched videos and read about the IT, was inventive to say the least. But for me the ending just came down to "They hit a deadline, no more delays, need an ending, slapped one together fast".

As one of the pro-enders, thank you. Thank you for the civil apology and retraction. It doesn't make up for all the times that the IT Crowd had been thrusting IT down our throats, but it is a way to move on with life and living. Hopefully its a lesson learnt, and that with future fanon theories they just get presented as such, rather than the 'fact' that people were getting their threads hammered with.

I hope that the DLC works well for you, and gives you some closure with the game.

It's okay man, we all tried.

I guess all we've got now is the Extended Cut thing, but I'm not optimistic.

It was a great ride, but I think it's time we start moving on.

Don't apologize Tiax, your intentions to find meaning to the ending and the game itself are admirable, we can't be sure until summer, although it sounds like a long shot, we need to keep the faith.

I still support the IT until the free DLC is released and prooves it wrong, don't let those satements from EA and BW discourage you, keep believing in the IT, you've been so strong in this whole time, don't fall back.

Summer hasn't come.

I didn't agree with all of IT but I appreciated that it evolved out of fans just trying to cleverly piece a broken ending back together.

But apparently:

All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

No need to apologize for giving it your best shot though, OP.

Honestly, NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO EXPLAIN SHEPARD WAKING UP. IT IS STILL A POSSIBILITY. ME4 will be announced tomorrow. Just watch.

IF ME3 was the end of Shepard and IT is not true, then WHY EVEN SHOW SHEPARD WAKING UP?

Uhhhhhhhh.. Oh. I'm going to have to think really hard on that one. 1... 2... 3...

Shepard beamed back down?

That much hard thinking has exhausted me. Need to play Call of Duty for a while now. Must... not... use.. brain.

Uh, so not only did the near death Shepard walk into an explosion, but he somehow managed to find the magic elevator ghost kid brought him up on, dragged himself back to the beam, and found some rubble to bury himself under?

read my sig and make it your own, you have been jilted my friend as much as I and the time has come for a unity of different ideas to bring down the walls of false integrity and raise the banner high for the actual writer whos integrity was destroyed.
