Wait... you're saying sorry and Bioware is NOT? They lied to us and we don't get any "we're sorry"?

I never believed in indoctrination theory, but I'd always been of the opinion that it was a very cool line of thinking, and I was almost secretly hoping that I was wrong. Don't apologize for being wrong, food for thought is good for everyone.  Heck, there is still a slim possibility that it might be true =P.

The only ones who should be apologizing are the IT zealots that went around attacking people who had a reasonable doubt.

People told me I wouldn't be able to admit when Bioware told me IT was not true and asked if I would apologize..

So here it is.
I'm sorry I pushed indoctrination theory.
I'm sorry for the false hope I may have gave to you.
I'm sorry for when I portrayed IT as truth and not theory.
I'm sorry for implying that people who could not see it were confused
I'm sorry for saying you were wrong for thinking bad writing was the problem (turns out it is)

So there. To all of those who got comfort from thinking IT would solve thier confusion, i'm sorry for letting you down and plopping you back into the same pit of sorrow you came from, now with even more dissapointment.

I originally wanted to say sorry to Bioware, but they will never get that response now.

EDIT ADD:
I may not have been the first, but I was here from the start of it and was one of the major supporters of it. Not trying to claim that all the creativity behind it was from me. Many contributed to its great ideas.

It takes a great deal to man up and say "I was wrong", so for what it counts(likely nothing) I applaud you for that.

At least you can take solace in knowing you have more courage and resolve within yourself than the entire Bioware staff has as a collective.

I'm not apologizing for anything. Bioware wanted us to speculate, so we speculated.

And this doesn't disprove IT, although it likely means they won't be continuing the story from Shepard waking up like we had hoped.

I don't care,IT makes more sense and has more proof than the actual endings.Even if it proves to not be true I will still believe in it.

If the DLC is really disappointing, the Indoctrination theory will be true to me. I will make my own ending. And a bittersweet one at at.

Talk about choice.

way to mail it in early. nothing has actually been done, and people are acting like it's all over. no complaints about it from me, though. let the frauds expose themselves. those of us who are still waiting intently to see what they've got in store will continue to hold the line. and then if it turns out it isn't acceptable?

right back to holding the line.

Well it was a quite a good Theory. And a perfect example for a Fan who can made a better End then all the writers from Bioware.

IMO, IT was the only thing could make all these nonsense worked out.

It helped a lot people get through what they've got in the name of "Artistic Integrity".

Never feel sorry for that, OP, no need at all.

Seriously, don't apologize. You had every right and reason to believe it, and nobody but Bioware could disprove you.

OP - you've got a quad.  Props to you for being a stand up guy.

Also, I'm not giving up on IT just yet.  Here's why:
WHERE THE HELL DID THIS TREE COME FROM?????
Image IPB

EDIT:  To clarify, yes I took this picture myself.  I played through a second time looking for signs to confirm or deny the indoc theory.  I found a lot of maybes, but couldn't really find anything that absolutely ruled it out.

This scene, in particular, is one of those that screams, "something ain't right here, folks."

I'd say that Bioware clarifying the ending doesn't preclude them using IT.

EDIT2:  Oh, one more thing that makes me really lean toward IT or some dream crap... the WHOLE SCENE where Shepard is talking to the kid at the end... IS IN SPACE.

So did Bioware officially say the IT ending is a load of rubbish? Cuz if not who's to say this extended DLC isn't just a confirmation for the people who didn't know it was the IT ending? I mean it could just be easier to ANNOUNCE it on the forums but not all ME fans go here so maybe it's just to address every player and not just the extremely dedicated ones who come here to voice their opinions.

I shall not give up on the IT ending. Shepard is no Superman and cannot fall down to earth after the the citadel explodes and survive, we already proved that him falling down to a planet makes him meat sausage as seen at the beginning of ME2.

I may not have supported Indoctrination and actually hated it but...My Sympathies. We ALL expected better of Bioware, whether it was Indoctrination or simply admitting bad writing. We figured a "broken steel" dlc that was satisfying was in order.

But I applaud you, You admitted you were wrong, more than a lot of people can say for themselves. And thus I believe we all can admit we were wrong in what we thought would happen.

Yes. The IT is still the only option that makes sense. I still believe it and will reserve judgement until the DLC is out.

hey don't apologise. IT was a) better than what we got and B) much, much fun to read and write about. It's been pretty much the only 'fun' topic on the BSN since release day. I'm sad that it's not true :(

lol at people's seriousness on something called "theory". Btw, no one from Bioware stated officially that IT is false. Too much assumption going on.

Preliminary evidence suggests that "IT" is correct. We are trying to reach a consensus.

Conclusion: Bioware ****ed up.

You admitted to a mistake - something that BioWare have failed to do because they lack intellectual integrity. The banal term "artistic integrity" is a cheap attempt to hide the fact that they are wrong.
