IT is a terrible way of explaining things and the follow up would have been DLC that costs money. It simply boggles my mind to think people like IT.

I'd say that Bioware clarifying the ending doesn't preclude them using IT.

EDIT2:  Oh, one more thing that makes me really lean toward IT or some dream crap... the WHOLE SCENE where Shepard is talking to the kid at the end... IS IN SPACE.

And what about Shepard waking in rubble when picking destruction? What about acting like a puppet with the starchild? Indoctrination just feels so right.

I'm just sorry it isn't real. No need to apologize for hoping it wasn't just a bad ending. I didn't think it was their intent but I had hoped they'd use it.

*Sigh*

As someone who didn't believe in the IT, I say there is no need to apologize. You actually came up with a better idea for an ending then Bioware did! You should be proud of that. Now lets put all this aside and keep working on getting our better ending.

^THIS (thanks for the quote)

it was better than the real one, cheer up bro , we still have :wizard: .... <_<

People told me I wouldn't be able to admit when Bioware told me IT was not true and asked if I would apologize..

So here it is.
I'm sorry I pushed indoctrination theory.
I'm sorry for the false hope I may have gave to you.
I'm sorry for when I portrayed IT as truth and not theory.
I'm sorry for implying that people who could not see it were confused
I'm sorry for saying you were wrong for thinking bad writing was the problem (turns out it is)

So there. To all of those who got comfort from thinking IT would solve thier confusion, i'm sorry for letting you down and plopping you back into the same pit of sorrow you came from, now with even more dissapointment.

I originally wanted to say sorry to Bioware, but they will never get that response now.

EDIT ADD:
I may not have been the first, but I was here from the start of it and was one of the major supporters of it. Not trying to claim that all the creativity behind it was from me. Many contributed to its great ideas.

*Shrug*

No blood, no foul.

its what you and alot of people needed to pull through the mess but you got so intent on believing that Bioware could not make a mistake. Your fault was not in  believeing IT, your fault was in believing that Bioware  was incapible of simply screwing up and there had to be more too it  other than them making a  bonehead move.

Its okay , like I said, No blood, No foul.^_^

So don't worry about it.

Dude, there's no reason to apologize, seriously.
I mean there is just absolutely no reason to apologize.
It's a fantastic theory worthy of the ME universe.
Too bad the writing team is just that incompetent.

As others said you ment well, and you showed more faith in Bioware then most of us. To bad that faith was unrewarded. Still part of me says thanks for trying. You almost had me believing at times. and in the end it would have vbeen better if IT was the real deal over Bioware simply rushing out a crap ending for "lots of specualtion"  and trying to cover their blunder with "artistic integrity"

Why can't it still be indoc?
Shepard is badly hurt not able to fight cue cut scenes of crew completing mission. Though if they do this Shepards injuries must cause sterility so no blue babies, just for the giggles.

Don't apologise Tiax. You've given people hope in dark times, and that's no mean feat. You've done what BioWare was clearly unable to - made sense of the ending. I didn't believe in the IT for a very long time - but it still makes sense. Don't you forget that.

If anyone should apologise here it's BioWare.

i don't think you should apologize, you did nothing wrong, quite the opposite, you brought up a better idea (or contributed to IT) which was far more better and elaborate that the endings we get. You brought us some "clarification" with the ingame elements and lore. You did better than the writers IMO and I'll be gratefull for it :)
I want to see what Bioware comes up with in summer, and if I'm not satisfied, IT will be my headcanon.
Thank you!

I don't think you have anything to apologize for. You're not the one that messed the game up. You just tried to make gold out of lead. I applaud your efforts.

don't worry man, you achieved something incredible! Indoctrination theory is by far better than the endings, so no need for apologies.

No need to apologize, it was a great theory and sooo much better than the actual ending. BW should be the one apologizing for a rushed and incomplete ending.

If only Bioware's ego wasn't so fragile....

..if all they truely do is give further clarification to red, green and blue then ME3 was the last Bioware game I'll purchase.

With the cut & paste mess of DA2 and then this ending for ME3 where they continue to play the artistic integrity card for something that is clearly rushed to market?

I see no further reason to invest in another Bioware game; Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.  Currently I am shamed..

After that 5 year story investment I not longer wish to sink my time into another Bioware game; regardless of how well it "starts".

In regards to OP; its not your fault you have more talent in your little storytelling pinky than Bioware have in both their lead writers and producers put together. You did a steller job filling Bioware's galaxy wide plot holes.

Plus you didn't lie like Bioware! you just presented a possibility.

Passion is good. Don't apologize for it. The fans obviously have a better grasp on this series than BioWare's own employees if you guys can see all of these compelling elements and flaws and put them together to form a coherent theory on why they are the way they are. The only reason I never believed is because I didn't think BioWare had the chops to pull off such an undertaking. Incompetence was a more believable explanation.

I'm baffled as to how anything we've heard so far disproves the indoctrination theory. They've been specifically saying that they'll provide an 'aftermath DLC' in their announcements for a long time -- you'd think having them say that they will completely alter the endings would go more against the indoctrination theory since it's based on what they haven't intended to do all along.

Then again, TC might be trolling/sarcastic.

I have no idea. I've heard some people say after the announcement that this disproves the IT, but I dunno why. As if having BioWare say that they will alter the endings completely doesn't do more to discredit it.

The OP gets my respect.

You would be amazed how few times people apologise or admit they are wrong on forums like these.

To be honest, I always though that the IT theory was very unlikely as it lacked as much narrative coherence as the current vanilla ending.

My other issue with IT is that from my perspective it was impossible anyway.

My view is that Shepard is in fact immune from indoctrination (possibly picked up from the Prothean Beacon, but that's more specualtion) and so could not be indoctrinated. That is the one thing that made Shepard unique in the galaxy. So the IT theory fits in with my view of the ME Universe even less than holo-brat does.

Anyway, all of us must always remember that we all have our own tastes and perspectives. We all like and dislike things instinctively. These things are not usually in the realms of logic.

Anyway, good on the OP. It is an example to us all.
