IT was awesome, easily beating the actual ending garbage. Totally understand why some people took it as fact, all the clues that are actually just terrible game design and story development... How any of these people involved in this abortion of an ending are able to sleep at night without coming out and apologizing I will never understand.

If they can't see how much of a failure this was, then I have to to say it boils down to ego and arrogance.

Well, it was an interesting idea, and entertaining to read about if nothing else.

People told me I wouldn't be able to admit when Bioware told me IT was not true and asked if I would apologise..

So here it is.
I'm sorry I pushed indoctrination theory.
I'm sorry for the false hope I may have gave to you.
I'm sorry for when I portrayed IT as truth and not theory.
I'm sorry for implying that people who could not see it were confused
I'm sorry for saying you were wrong for thinking bad writing was the problem (turns out it is)

So there. To all of those who got confort from thinking IT would solve thier confusion, i'm sorry for letting you down and plopping you back into the same pit of sorrow you came from, now with even more dissapointment.

I originally wanted to say sorry to Bioware, but they will never get that response now.

You gave many Hope which is more than BW has done. You Dear Have Integrity. <3

You meant well, and it's not your fault Bioware just isn't willing to spend the money to complete the game with an ending worthy of the franchise.

Agreed.  You had the best of intentions.  It was very difficult to accept that Bioware/EA could just destroy one of their IPs with such a grotesque ending.

Now we are left with no option but walking away.

Your theory brought me hope and that is nothing to apologise for. I still think that it is the best and that its the most that stupid Bioware could ever hope to achive.

I still support IT...after all its not what Bioware thinks is "artistic"....its about what the Fans deserve!

Don't let the haters get you down, regardless of whether it's the "Official BioWare Ending™" it's still a great idea.

No need to apologize for giving people hope :)

You always seemed like a cool guy to me, don't feel bad about it. Wrong happens.

Take note, BW.

As someone who has stood by Tiax since the start, and supported the Indoc fully (though I never "liked" the idea as much as some others did), I must wholeheartedly stand by this apology.

I am genuinely sorry for pushing indoctrination theory.
I am sorry for presenting IT as a possibility in so many threads and as an answer to everything.
I am sorry for calling people ignorant for not seeing the reasoning in IT.
But most of all, I am sorry for getting peoples hopes up, and I am sorry that Bioware stomped on all our hopes.

I never really buy into IT, but nevertheless I entertain its beauty and would have been ok if it turns out to be true.

Too bad BIoware fails to recognize a way out.

Good sir, you have nothing to apologize for.
IT theory truly was wondrous.
Your only mistake was in overestimating Bioware's creative prowess, a mistake the majority of us similarly committed.

Even though I thought the IT was fake from the start I rather enjoyed that some people were using their minds to speculate rather than just whine (for that, thank you for being one of those people).Though if IT was real, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. I applaud you for having the humility and honor to step up and admit something regardless how trivial.

if only you and others had the same feelings towards those you insulted for the last month for liking the ending

The only ones who should be sorry are Bioware. IT, a fan-theory, was better than what they gave us. It was even an easy way to work new endings in, but they ignored that in favor of 'artistic vision'. I had hoped that IT may have been true, but I guess it just turns out they didn't live up to our expectations.

It was too clever to be real. Those were the words I used :(.

QFT.

QFT...again. I personally liked the IT theory. I guess for alot of us, fanfic or our own headcannon will have to suffice. No need to apologize as far as this nobody is concerned. Image IPB

It wasn't likely, but it was good. Also gave a good amount of people a fair amount of hope.

No reason to beat yourself up over it, or apologize for that matter.

Coming back in here because I knew the OP well in a few posts.

It's alright, really is. No one thought BW could have sunk this low, and we were all hoping for the best.

There is no need for apologies. Shame on them for not picking up on all the uncleaned-up work that they had left in the game when they dropped the idea of indoctrinating Shepard.
What you did is commendable, and if this extended cut proceeds as I think it will, IT will remain the official ending as far as I am concerned :)

No need to apologize. While I didn't agree with it, I thought the Indoctrination Theory was well thought out.

Its really sad that I had such high hopes for a truely epic ending to ME3 and Shepards story - and didn't get one. :crying:

It seems we all expected too much of Bioware and Mass Effect and our Shepards.

I can't say I ever believed in IT, but I did think it was a bad dream. Wait, they haven't fixed it, yet. It still IS a bad dream...

"The Indoctrination theory is the realization that the
fans care more and are more artistic and intelligent than the developers."

If you where really a large contributor to the
theory... thank you for caring... a lot of us wanted to believe.

Huge opportunity missed by Bioware for not taking advantage of Indoctrination.
