Never believed bioware intended indoctrination....but it was always my favorite interpretation of the ending and it still is.

One of the greatest strengths of character in my opinion is to admit error after being grievously wrong.

You always seemed like a cool guy to me, don't feel bad about it. Wrong happens.

bioware likes to call it un-artistic integrity

You meant well, and it's not your fault Bioware just isn't willing to spend the money to complete the game with an ending worthy of the franchise.

I don't think you have anything to apologize for. You're not the one that messed the game up. You just tried to make gold out of lead. I applaud your efforts.

I was unaware that being the victor makes one right.

I didn't know you started it. Don't apologize, it made sense with what we were given. I was hoping it was true too.

People told me I wouldn't be able to admit when Bioware told me IT was not true and asked if I would apologise..

So here it is.
I'm sorry I pushed indoctrination theory.
I'm sorry for the false hope I may have gave to you.
I'm sorry for when I portrayed IT as truth and not theory.
I'm sorry for implying that people who could not see it were confused
I'm sorry for saying you were wrong for thinking bad writing was the problem (turns out it is)

So there. To all of those who got confort from thinking IT would solve thier confusion, i'm sorry for letting you down and plopping you back into the same pit of sorrow you came from, now with even more dissapointment.

I originally wanted to say sorry to Bioware, but they will never get that response now.

An apology without insults?  Without condescension? without the stinky buts?

Bioware could learn a thing or two from you sir.  You are forgiven

Indoctrination theory wanted to work with the endings when they should've been denied outright. That was its only flaw. Now the only denial is in each of our heads.

Dream of what could've been. Mass Effect was pure escapism anyway. Now you just need to escape the escape. ESCAPETION!

I feel the urge to reach out to Bioware and call them ignorant now for not understanding indoctrination theory...

Coming back in here because I knew the OP well in a few posts.

It's alright, really is. No one thought BW could have sunk this low, and we were all hoping for the best.

So uh... just curious.

Halo 3 ending, or Mass Effect 3 ending?

Halo 3 had a bitter sweet ending, a GOOD one.

^ agree, SWTOR Collectors edition = questionable game style sunk my money into it and got a low grade set of devs. Funny on Bioware's end on that time ME3 makes me say Really???

No need to apologize, IT was reasonable, the ones who need to apologize for this ending are OTHERS.

Man, learn from real pro's and hide behind A.I.!!!!

Kiddin', you didn't need to apologize. To be honest, many of us would loved if it was that way instead of what we got.

Don't apologize, IT is still heckuva lot better than ANY ending with starchild in it. I'm still in love with the whole idea, and I'm a bit sad that Bioware hasn't opted to use it.

I never thought it was true, but Indoctrination Theory did, and will now always make more sense and provide a more compelling ending the crap BioWare gave us.

No need for apology. I never believed IT was Bioware's intent but it is still a fascinating way to read the ending and a tribute to the ability of the human mind to bring order to chaos.

How did they lose?

Mongering for an arguement is a trait of anyone with your sig. How about you try getting attention through not being an offensive ******?

You have absolutely nothing to apologize for. You allowed a lot of us to make sense of the non-sensical.

Your efforts should be applauded.

Yeah I'll actually give it that. Halo 3's main game was less than I was expecting, but the ending was more.

Mass Effect 3's main game was more than I was expecting, but the ending was less.

Not sure which scenario I prefer.

No need for apologies. IT is the only thing that kept me from throwing my computer out the window the night I beat the game. Was I ever a believer? Not really. But it did help assuage the depression a little.
