No, I'm not interested in this franchise anymore.

Then why do you waste your time on this board instead of talking about something you like?

The hope of a new ending dlc.

I'll wait until I know something before deciding, as always.

I don't make a habit of giving money to someone who has just pooed all over me, no matter how many colors the poo comes in.

So no.

so .. they really want to make a new trilogy? .. bold move - especially after the desaster of an ending/massage they left behind.

they want to make a new experience inside the me universe, without putting us into the role of a hero? really?

mass effect is strongly tried to shepard and the places we visited. the citadel, omega, ilium ... just mentioning those places would bring back the dark feelings most of us have about the galaxy.

a good attempt to reanimate mass effects body, would be to put us in the role of a smuggler/freelancer/entrepreneur, who gets tied up into a galactic struggle/conspiracy. but .. we would still be playing as a protagonist, who makes paragon/renegade decisions and who is touring the galaxy with friends/love interests/companions, while blowing up sh*t.

in short, firefly/freelancer meets mass effect. could work - but it would still be the same.

... and it would still bug me, that they will "dispose" my new pc after the third game. just like ea does with fruitless game studios. Image IPB

if they ****** to give us a whole new experience, they have to bring up a whole new gameplay concept and a drift into an other genre.

i will not say that i wont buy a new mass effect game - but i tend to not buying it.

Yes. And I'd buy the collector's edition.

It's so funny so many people on the forums are such downers about the game, swear they'll never buy another bioware/ea product, but are on the forums talking about the games that they "hate" 24/7. Admit it. You CARE. And you'll buy the next mass effect game too. Day 1/pre-order just like me.

Having said that, I was also pretty pissed about the original endings, but I also understand that it doesn't detract from the fact it was still a great game, with one wow moment after another all the way till the end. I am still secretly hopeful of another ending dlc/off spin sequel (and yes, I'd pay).

Ditto.

I love this franchise, even though the endings did rather suck, I am an optimist and I think there is still so much potential for fantastic games in this universe.

Maybe. Probably wait until fans give their feedback on it, then make my decision to get it or not. Or wait until the price goes down/hits the bargain bins.

I'll get the collectors edition, and maybe a new jacket and a pair of shoes too while Im at it.:P

I've never had an experience like the ME series, I never cry to movies ever. I seriusly think ME is the star wars of our generation. If you love something, support it.

And I as well, the ending for Mass Effect 3 was not as amazing as I would have liked, but I still have hope for the series so there is a possibility that I would go out and buy it.B)

It depends on a couple of things, one of which is DA 3 believe it or not, as I've not enjoyed BioWare's most recent endeavors.  If I find DA 3 not to my liking (as well as DA2, TOR and parts of ME 3), then chances are I won't bother unless it gets amazing reviews.

If it's a prequel though, I refuse, no matter what.

hmm......DA2 disappointment, ME3 disappointment DA3 75% chance of disappointment so unless a miracle happens no DA3 will most likely be the last EA/Bioware game i'll ever buy.

Depending on how the gameplay of ME4 is, I probably will buy it.

Well, let's see: we don't know when it'll be set, where it'll be set, under what conditions the universe will be set, or who the protagonist will be---or even if it's a custom protagonist or not. I'm not closed off to the idea of a fourth Mass Effect game, but I could very easy get that way with the wrong answers to any of those.

As of now: "Insufficient data".

probably.
i dont care about hwo develops it and what they have done in the past, the only thing that counts that the game is above average to waste money on it and i have wasted in the past four years around 6400 euros on games
and mass effect 3 is awesome and the EC made the destroy ending passable in my book but the other two still sucks
DA2 is okay in my mind only thing is that the scenery is repetitive

the only thing that would make me buy ME4

1. if its Heavy on story and choices. you know accuall roleplaying game.
and not railroaded player choices or auto dialogue.

2. and less on trying to be gears of wars or cod or.. well.. you get the picture
the same button for everything was not a smart move! hindsight be damned.

3. if its a part of a story spanning several games. i wont buy it untill the last game is released.
sorry but i have not trust in biowares ability to write good stories that stay consistant
with its own theme and narrative atm.
and that trust will have to be EARNED back.

and the only place ill get my info on how good the story and consistancy of narrative and lore is..
is from fans. reviewers from ign and such be damned.

but i still might by it used from gamestop anyways.
out of spite for not owning up too ones misstakes and fixing them.
instead we got the, you a stupid, whiny, ungratefull, entiteled unintelligent fan
that didnt understand the game. that pr acually offended me on many levels.

this is all just my opinions, and no matter how much anyone tries do dissclaim them for not beeing fact and any other starcraft logic.....................
they will still be highly important variables in my decitions IF i ever think of buying a bioware game again.

as for now i hang around Bsn for the other fans, as i thuroly enjoy reading and thinking about other peoples thoughts on the game and such.

hope of bioware fixing me3. is kinda lost. i dont belive they will admit in an open an honest way thing went sideways or try and fix it for real. ( instead of a new coat of pain(t) over the stain, as with EC)

Also im here for Omega. since i hope they atleast managed to fletch out aria's character
so i can for one last time immers myself in a mass effect character
got to know and interact with that character and go on an adventure with said character
and hopefully have an over all HAPPY, forefilling and rewarding kickass ending

so that i hopefully can leave this franchise with one last happy moment.
other than that. i gave my trust to koobismo, he did turn my anger into a smile with his ongoing comic so propps to him.

also bioware needs to hire a new Real story writer and narrative director
those two that left, did so painstakenly obviously leaving a hole after them.

its need to be plugged so bioware can mabey. be awesome again.
cus i know they can if they really try.

also screw EA and microtransitions and MP in general :P

(sorry just hade to get some steam out lol. no hate intended. just my honest thoughts)
(and also, i do Not wish bad think upon any one person or company,
just wish some things when back to basics...)

Yes.

Aside from certain strategy games only Bioware seems to make games I like.

Only not anymore.

The way I see it ME4 will be just another GoW clone that takes place in the ME universe with a dumbed down dialogue weel, generic space marine story and with CO-OP MP that will throw the remaining RPG elements out of the window. . (something like ME3 but much worse if that's even possible...) So my answer to OP's question is big "NO".
