I don't think Bioware had any plans to make a ME4.

If you guys want to encourage them to make it, you're doing that in a very convoluted way.

They do. This is only the end of Shep's story.

Clearly thier refusal to listen to us on the fact that the endings are dreadful is a pretty clear indcator they want to make ME4. My question is, will you buy the game Bioware destroyed thier credit to set up?

Depends on 2 Things...

1) What will the extended Edition be like
2) What will ME4 be like.

If the Extended Edition doesn't provide what i want, closure and my choices to matter, even if its just cinematics showing some fighting between the different species. Then i'll surely look at ME4. If the Extended Edition amounts to a few codex entries, our choices in the previous games being ignored and no diversity in the aftermatch of the 3 forced choices... i won't bother looking at any further titles in the near future.

If ME4 is about Shepard and his crew, or if they even play a major role in the game, i won't bother with it, unless the customer reviews are glowing with praise.

I may buy a Sci-fi Space opera game with shooter and RPG elements as long as it has a variety of aliens and characters to interact with, a compelling storyline, lots of ways to kill things in front of me, a rich graphical experience with unique environments, fun mini-games that don't artificially lengthen playing time by adding tedium, and most importantly: respect for the decisions i make.

It being called "Mass Effect 4" is optional.

Not unless this DLC is better than it has any right to be. It'll have to be far beyond even LOTSB good. And I simply don't see that happening with just "clarification".

Otherwise not only will I not get ME4 I won't get anything that was worked on by this team either.

And even in the unlikely best case scenerio, and the DLC is good enough that I forgive Biowarethen I'm not pre-ordering. I'll need player reviews first.

Because player reviews are so reliable... I recently read that there's a new rash on metacritic, of bombing ME3. This time a substantial amount of ״reviewers" gave it 0 out of 10. The reason? They claim the game contains mandatory gay sex... How substantial? Metacritic has announced it assembled a team (I'm imagining ME2 suicide squad) dedicated to deleting this nonsical reviews.

Now a word from our sponsor:
Wrex: these people are stupid. We should eat them. B)

I will have to wait for a demo, if even basic animations are horribly degraded or just missing like in ME3, I'll pass.

There is nothing that ruins game more than bad animations.

I reserve the right to answer this question after I see what they deliver in this "extra content" DLC for the ending.

If it delivers to my satisfaction, then I might buy ME4 under various conditions*. If this extra content DLC turns out to be just as ridiculously dumb as the current ending, then I will never touch a Mass Effect game again, including the 3 I already own.

As for the conditions* above, I will never pre-order from BioWare. I won't buy on release day, either. I will wait a week or so, read some reviews on here to see the general consensus of the game, then purchase it. And just because I don't trust a word that comes out of their mouth now in terms of pre-release hype/advertisement, I will not buy the game if BioWare promises "your choices matter" this time.

I dont think so. The series has been in constant decline as far the RPG elements are concerned and I imagine the next game with have even fewer. Yes, the weapons, armor, and upgrades were better in ME3 than ME2, but losing all of the real conversations and evesdropping to get sidequests is terrible.

No. BioWare has shown that they aren't the same company that gave us DA:O and ME1 anymore.

Thankfully, their refusal to put ME3 on Steam delayed my purchase and I had the time to check out player reviews (and the actual game at friends) and of course opted out. The same happened with DA2, but I guess Origin is a huge success to some.

My best game last year was Witcher 2 by far, so I'm looking forward to replaying the free, new DLC that is coming up. Also very much looking forward to anything new CD Projekt RED comes up with.
Besides that I', putting all my gaming money into different Kickstarter projects like Wasteland 2, Shadowrun returns, Banner saga and the return of the master of Adventures like Schafer, Jane Jensen and the old Tex Murphy team.

As far as I'm concerned that's where the future of gaming is headed. Transparency and close connection between player and game creators (like it used to be). As an example, we backers got a complete financial breakdown on Double Fine/Tim Schafers new adventure some days ago. To also get insight and follow the creative process is a reward in itself. Big publishers who only sees its customers as money bags have no future as fas as I'm concerned.

The Mass Effect universe is effectively dead to me as far as future goes, but I will probably replay especially ME1 many more times. Actually i'm the middle of one right now and loving it. ME1 is the kind of action RPG I love, but obviously BioWare/EA had other plans and we had to part ways.

The way the ruined this one? No. Hudson FUBAR'd ME3.

In the words of another famous Hudson: "Game over, man. Game over."

I would buy it if it wasn't something like scrubs season 9
because that's just bull**** and will kill the franchise

Well, from the trends I've seen from ME3, ME4 will be a half-assed action game for CoD bros, not a quality RPG. So it's doubtful.

But user reviews may change my mind. Who knows.

Despite the fact that the ending of the third sequence is poorly executed, the game engine itself is outstanding and that is one of the things which Mass Effect series lives up with. So yeah, I will definitely buy the next sequence.

If it came out after Bioware does some good games like making DA3 and perhaps a new RPG good and the game will use a new engine and modern tech then maybe. If they showed new vechicle controls that are smooth, maybe. If they say ME3 endings where ****e, probably. Knowing past mistakes is the first step to a brighter future. But I would like the game to have a long development or at least the longest of any ME game so far

You know as well as I do when things are released free, customer satisfaction isn't taken into consideration at all. Look at the psn.

 you do realize the original me is still sitting at 20 dollars 5 years later, yes? No game is worth waiting nearly 10 years for a price reduction <_<

Just cave and give in, you'll feel better.
