Probably. The current set up the story at hand feels like that's what is set in motion now.
It's possible that the sequel or Mass Effect universe continuation is the big surprise that BioWare reps were hinting at for a while when the ending sadness/hatred started ramping up. Then again, I've been wrong before.

-What makes you think there will be a prequal/sequal/spinoff?
If ME3 doesnt deliver the profits projected, doesnt sell the DLC projected and if DA3 bums out (which it likely will, because fans will go over DA3 with a toothpick looking for inconsistencies and bugs... and all games have them), what possible reason does EA have for keeping Bioware on as a seperate studio? Why should they rekindle an IP that ended with such a massive fecal hurricane? Had such fallout that it caused EA to win the "worst company of 2012" awared?
Really?

If there'd be another ME-game I for one would buy it in a heartbeat, I'd pre-order it as soon as it was available too.

It depends what Bioware will do in ME4, if it turns into another repetitive GOW cover shooter then I will have to say no.
Also, l'm no longer purchasing launch titles and collectors editions from Bioware. Because of the company's new reputation of not delivering on there promise (DA2 and ME3's ending) I will now air on the side of caution from now on and let the reviews and forum feedback from fans determine whether or not I make a future purchase.
I've downgraded Bioware to untrustworthy.

If there is one, absolutely.
I'd love to find out what happens to our unique "substrate", after what the catalyst had done with him. Not to mention the consequences toward such action pan-galactically, as we don't know if Reapers had propagated other galaxies. And if so, had other galaxies ascended too.

So, just extrapolating here... am I going to get the game that in the next installment will have an entirely linear plot, no RPG elements, and be built from the ground up with the intent of being a multiplayer game?
Yes, of course I'm getting it. It helps that the end of the previous trilogy made sense despite the bittersweet ending and all of my compatriots dying except my LI.
Halo 4 is gonna be sweeeeeeeeet!

They can keep their artistic integrity, I will stick to my consumer rights of not buying from EA/BW.

Why so they can sell half a game, I would assume that there will be day 1 DLC, IE part of the game withheld to extort more money out of buyers. Bad as the endings in ME3 are day 1 DLC is actually worse and has been forgotten a bit in the uproar, basically Day 1 DLC is morally wrong.

It depends, but I think it will be a no, because it will probably be a shooter or something. And they´d have to decide on an ending...

not a chance, ME4 would be a total cash crab to show how stupid people are.
the ending of ME3 was the end of a dynasty. No DLC or attempt at continuing mass effect can fix what has already been done.
Mass effect ended the day Drew Karpyshyn left, along with his story, the story I invested in.
So you like the -
Yo Dawg - To ensure you don't destory the galaxy with dark energy, we created the Mass Relays - which one can produce more dark energy than all organic fleets in the galaxy combined - so you don't destroy the galaxy with dark energy!!!!!
Stupid plot filled story. . . Story to say that about Drew. . . He is, after all, smarter than everybody combined in story telling. . . But hey, he's only human with an idea, and so am I!
I'm actually going to do my tribute ending to Mass Effect Universe with an ending that makes sense that doesn't violate established lore, as a 3d flash scene - and I'll give the ending that we deserve.
God Kid - Which ending do you want to know about.
Shepard - 3 choices - Dark Energy -> Synths vs Organics -> Bad Writing -> The one you should have done
You choose dark energy
God Kid - come one, you don't actually believe that do you.
Shep - But Drew said that
God Kid - The Mass Relays we made produce millions of time more dark energy than any of your ships. . . They are thousands of times more powerful all the fleets of the oraganic races combined - and there is thousands of mass relays. We produce magnitudes of dark energy over your fleets, so if there is a problem with dark energy, than we are lying politicians - because we created the problem in order to fix that problem to the detriment of everybody else!
Shep (bewildered look) - oh, yeah, I never thought of that, can I pick something else?
God Kid - Sure - same choices.
You Choose Synths vs Organics
God Kid - omg, so you believe Yo Dawg, I heard you said you don't want to be destroyed by synthetics, so I created synthetics to kill you every 50k years, so you wont be killed by snthetics? Did you not make peace between the Geth and Quarians?
Shep - Yeah, I did. . . So this is just a bad ending too. Can I make a better choice.
God Kid - sure - same choices
You choose Bad Writing
God Kid - Oh, this is most likly what happened. After all, didn't you notice in Mass Effect 2 that the Blood pack recruiter on Tuchunka was a Krogan? Would a Krogan take orders from a Vorcha? He said the Vorcha are just vermin they use as cannon fooder. Stick a god damn flame thrower on their backs and make them charge. He also said the only true members of the blood pack were Krogan. In Mass Effect 3 the leader of the blood pack was a Vorcha? Vorcha don't even have FTL technology, how the hell are they suppose to run an galaxy wide mercanary group? So if they can't follow simple lore in this in the game, you'd expect the same group to actually follow lore in much larger decisions, like the ending. . .
Shep (pained looked) - that actually is a very painful reality - can I pick one last time?
God Kid - sure
You choose the ending we deserve
God Kid - there were many things that needed to be changed in the game - because of bad writing. One of them was Levithan of Dis.
Shepard - Why?
God Kid - Because there were actual pictures of it taken by the Salarians. You'd think, if the Salarians took pictures of us in the past, they would have recognized us after ME 1, and they wouldn't be saying the Geth made Soveriegn because they knew the Levianthan of Dis and us were one and the same. They'd be telling people to get ready!
Shepard - You're right. . .
God Kid - But we have a history with the Levianthan of Dis. You see, over a billion years ago, when my race, the race you call the Keepers, we emerge in the galaxy with FTL drive. But there was a race that was so powerful, because they evolved before us, that they enslaved us. Just because their genetics evolved faster than ours, and their culture advanced faster. It wasn't fair. After a a couple of thousands of years, we came up with this solution, to take the adventage of our masters away. We studied indoctrination, we studied how to create the Reaper Dreadnaughts and destroyers, we studied how to create the Mass Relays, and we then created the first Reapers. Many of us sacrificed ourselves to create the first Reaper fleet. We then went through the entire galaxy, making Mass Relays and helping other cultures ascend against our masters! After we had all the races capable of FTL ascended, we went to war with our masters. But Indoctrination took away the power of the organic warships! They fell out of the sky, and we slowly harvested our masters.
Then, we decided, to ensure to bring order to the chaos of organic evolution, where more advanced races use less advanced ones to their own gains, we would go through the galaxy every 50,000 years to ensure there would be hope for the younger races to grow and develope.
You know this is true, because Javik told you, had there been a significant amounts of Protheans that survived our cleansing of them, they would have told you to join them or face us alone. And look at how the Salarians used the Krogans to fight the Racni, and then they almost destroyed them with the Genophage.
Shep - But I have the galaxy united against you. You have become the much older race that is enslaving us, forcing us to be what you want us to be. Krogans, Salarians, Asari, Turians, Humans, Batarians and many others fighting you, to ensure our galaxy to unite and fight!
So, now it is our time - You either get the hell out of our Galaxy, or we use the Crucible.
God Kid - you are right - you make the choice. . .

Nope.
Given the recent history of BW games I wouldn't buy anything coming from there without having a good hard look.
I bought and resold ME3 when given the opportunity. If it's in the bargain bin I will pick it up once again, but only because it's the last Shepard chapter. I'm not the least bit interested in what a next possible instalment might happen to be.
