Beware, idiot thievery!

Any admin of Bioware, beware, on his previous account, he ripped off cover art from novels and other works from artists both fandom and official Bioware work.
I'm getting tired of dealing with these jerks that think it is 'ok' to do this and completely ignore those of us who work hard on our artwork or fiction, for him to post it as his.
Name: ?? goes by cerburus159@deviantart, WireMouth on Blogspot

Claims to be a student in Georgia and artist. Heh, right. Will be informing DeviantArt of this latest attempt by this guy but I wanted anyone who is on DA to keep tabs on him and suggest you might want to close open group membership and approve members.

Though if I remember right, his last account (the johnnytopside one) he had his name listed as Andrew Norkus.
Seriously, people, keep an eye on cerburus159.deviantart.com if you can. So far he only has 5 deviations up but before myself and many others on deviantArt got him stopped, he had 132 loaded up on his now banned account within the space of two weeks - not just fan created art for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Bioshock, but also word for word codex entries and letters from Mass Effect (copyrights of course belonging there to BioWare and EA) but he had also scanned the Mass Effect: Deception book cover, cropping off the title and author, without giving any credit to either BioWare or the author.
While my deviantArt name is in my signature, for those of you who don't know who I am, I am Dragonwyrd316 there and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions regarding this. Ask Liesel12 - I've been doing my best to keep the deviantArt community updated with this person's actions because art theft is not something I'm tolerant of. You'll find me at dragonwyrd316.deviantart.com .

He's taking art from sources outside of deviantArt, as well as from art posted within the Mass Effect community on deviantArt, and calling it his own. He has also posted work that BioWare and EA hold copyrights to such as codex entries, book covers, and in-game letters without giving credit to the original sources.
Why is this being posted here? So the entire community will know what is going on especially since there are quite a few people in this community who are artists and, while they might not personally use deviantArt, they should be aware of what's going on in case this person uploads their work onto deviantArt.

This and your comment on my journal (the one that you gave me 20 points for figuring out the majority of) have given me huge grins today.
You both win the internets for the day!

Digging around on his blogspot produced some...not so surprising, I guess, results.
First - http://dragonking758...revelation.html
Which is a direct copy/paste from the wiki on ME: Revelations story.
Second - http://dragonking758...-al-jilani.html Another supposed blog update on Khalisah Al Jilani. Once again, a copy/paste from the wiki, only he remembered to remove one line - the one telling who Al Jilani is voiced by.
Third - http://dragonking758...ctrination.html Which is ripped off of the YouTube user here http://m.youtube.com/#/user/ACAVYOS
While the 1st two he doesn't specifically say "This is my work" he also doesn't cite the source the information is copied from. The video, he DOES in fact claim at the bottom of the blog that 'This is a video I made over the past few days." If this were the original uploader of the video, then why aren't his other video's also posted to the blog? Suuspiicious!

And what he is doing exactly is copying the artwork - be it pictures or written - and posting it as his own. Art theft. Plagierizing. Call it what you will, it's illegal.

Alright so I checked out his profile, and it's just a bunch of pictures of little stop sign things. I don't see what the big deal is, honestly
If all you're seeing is little stop sign things, then he's probably got the art listed as mature and you won't actually be able to view it unless you're a member and of age to look at it.

To be clear, the artwork's poor taste doesn't excuse his theft. If anything, it makes me question the thief's judgment and "taste" further.
I will describe the images:
One is an inflation fetish drawing of Tali, with her breasts expanded to impossible proportions.
Another is a pornographic depiction of a "female" geth, featuring extremely large mechanical "breasts."
The worst offender is a "mutated big sister" from Bioshock. This drawing is not only extremely obscene but it violates Deviantart policies on restricted content. It shows a big sister sporting an extremely large erect penis, of ridiculous proportions, and she appears to be masturbating it.

To summarise KillerAngel's post: Who in their right mind would want to steal that sh*t?
Precisely.
