ill keep my thoughts short and sweet in this post...

i just want to personally thank the writers of ME3 and Casey Hudson for the inclusion of "gay romances" for a male shepard in the final game. I myself am an avid video game player who also happens to be gay, and to see that my lifestyle was included as a possible option in a video game that i already enjoyed immensely made me very greatful.

I know that society as a whole has a long way to go before people like me are widely accepted for who we are, but video games like this are a step in the right direction and i greatly admire everyone on the bioware team for supporting the inclusion of this option despite all of the possible bad press and issues it could raise.

Another thing i greatly admired was how the character of Steve Cortez was written. All personal opinions of his character aside, i was honestly and pleasantly blown away when i approached him that first time and heard him mention his "husband" so casually. There was no gay parade, no coming out sob story, and no negative reactions from my shepard of either gender. He was simply a gay man serving on my ship and it was never made into a big deal among the crew, which is EXACTLY the way most of us gay men and women wish life could be. it shouldn't matter who someone loves or is attracted to, and to see Mr. Cortez so casually admit his homosexuality without any negative reprocussions was a perfect way to present his sexuality in my opinion, He was a crew member who just happened to be homosexual as well.

i am always very pleased when i see gay characters portrayed in such a casual way, where their sexuality isn't overstated or even the focus of who they are because in reality sexuality doesnt define who a person is. Bioware gets MAJOR points from me for this inclusion and is now on my list of video game companies i will watch in the future. THANKS AGAIN!!!:o

I'm not gay, and I thought they handled the topic very well over all. Much better than in Dragon Age 2 - your only refusal options came off as rude or cruel. No need for that in my opinion.
