I've been having trouble getting the vault to load and I need help! I am stuck big time - we just got back to the camp after doing the dragon's cave and I can't figure out how to get us - and the wagons - out of there. Raise dead doesn't work on the horses and the teleport rod is dead and gone. I'm sure there's something I'm just not thinking of, but what? I don't have a gust of wind or teleport spell or scroll and I don't know if they'd work anyway. Anybody been there and done this and willing to give a gal some help?

Have a look at what your journal says, open the toolset and then the module your stuck in then click the view tab, journal, campaign ( or module if it's not a campaign ). Scroll through the journal until you find what one you're stuck with or hasn't advanced and see what the next entry number and tag of the quest is. Then go back to the game and using the console type in rs ga_journal("the quest tag",5,1,0,0).
You have to use the speech marks and I just put in a 5 but you should use the actual number you want.

Thank you both, but I'm on Mac and they never bothered to give us a toolset! As to the journal, it doesn't say anything new - that was how I knew I was in trouble! I guess I'm going to have to go back to a save before that fight and see if it works when I do it again. If not, I'll try to contact Matthew. : (

Well, it looks like I have a major problem! I spent tonight redoing the whole quest and I still didn't get a convo on leaving the cave, nor did my journal update. I get back to camp and nothing! I'm stuck unless I can get some codes to finish this quest and move on...

Ok here's the journal names of quests, tags and first bit of the entry along with the number that shows how far the quest has gone.. These are all I could find and because there weren't many I just copied them here. If it's something other than a journal entry I can't help you as I haven't played this module and wouldn't know where to start looking so I hope this does the trick.
"Recent Events", tag = recent_events
entries begin with.. After finding yourself =10, After finding a caravan = 20, After finding a caravan =30

I'm back. I can't get it to work unless I'm doing something wrong! I put in
rs ga_journal("the_spine_of_lucifer",20) and got an unsuccessful message. I then tried
rs ga_journal("the_spine_of_lucifer",questnumber,20)and that didn't work. I also tried
rs ga_journal("the_spine_of_lucifer",questnumber,20,0,0) but it didn't work either.
We already killed the bad guy, finished the quest, and returned to camp so please, what am I doing wrong?

This is obviously worse than I thought. I finally got the script to run and the journal updated, but I'm still stuck. I think I need at least one more script. When we resurrected Ayale she said an evil spirit took over the golem, but it never happened and the golem is still with us. I guess I have to go back further to resurrect her again and use a script to put the evil force into the golem. Maybe once that happens the journal will update by itself. If not, I can use the script at that point that updated the journal. Can anybody help? I haven't heard back from Matthew, but maybe he's taking a well deserved vacation!

rs ga_journal("the_spine_of_lucifer", 20, 1, 0, 0)
You don't want to type the word "questnumber" -- that's where the number of the quest's stage goes.

Thanks Tchos! The code you left is the one that finally worked, the problem is it looks like I have to fix something before that. I need a code to make the evil entity enter the golem (Ayala says he did but nothing happened) or at least turn the golem evil so we can destroy him - that seems to be what didn't happen in my game either time and maybe why the journal didn't update! Once I can do that it might be ok, if not I can then use the code you just left to finish it off.

Sorry about the confusion but where I wrote quest number was where you put the quest number as Tchos pointed out. Anyway you might have to wait for the maker of this mod to answer but I don't think he's posted anything at all since releasing this and seems to have lost interest in it all so you might be out of luck.
If I had played the first two modules I'd have ran through this one as it doesn't look too long and then I'd know where to start looking but I'm a bit busy with my own module at the moment.. Just out of interest exactly who do you want to talk to and where are they ( what area ) ? As I might be able to track down their conversation and see what the condition is for them talking.

I doubt this solves anything, but have you tried killing the golem with the console? Target him, type "debugmode 1", then "rs mk" (and then "debugmode 0"). Or just right-click and "attack", but that option isn't always available.
Also, have you tried asking on the Vault or wherever the module was uploaded?

Well, it didn't go too well, but at least it went! The codes didn't work or at least I couldn't get them to work. The code rs ga_faction_join("possessed_golem",$HOSTILE) supposedly worked - I got a message that it was successful, but nothing happened afterwards. In any case, the golem stayed with us for the rest of the game and it didn't seem to affect anything (at least nothing that wasn't already messed up lol). And hey, I had another companion for the end fight.
In the end I used the code rs ga_journal("the_spine_of_lucifer",20,1,0,0) which worked, and the quest updated. Then, since I couldn't get the other codes to work, I used Matthew's code to teleport to the next area which worked and I was able to finish the game. Frustrating, but all in all a lot of fun. For Mac players who have the same problem, Matthew asked me to leave the codes that worked - here's the code to teleport from the cave: rs ga_jump_players (3041_wpt_teleport_location,1,0) after saving Alaya.

IMPORTANT my mistake sorry, there is no _ in scripthidden it's all one word and posessed hasn't got four s's. I'm no good at scripts and avoid them because of such things like this and one _ or , in the wrong place and nothing works !.. Anyway they should look like..

Don't worry about it - I'm thankful that you tried to help! I finished last night. I missed out on 2 fights, which made the chapter even shorter, but at least I got to the end. Thanks for the codes but I don't think I'm going to go back to try it again.

I think we posted at the same time before and I even had to edit that last one because I spelt possesssed correctly but wrong for golems again !
My modules are A Fairy Tale and Serene and I used to be a Tsongo here but I really did forget my password ( or perhaps the BSN had a fit ) and had a lot of troublr logging on, got locked out and had to reinvent myself !
