LOL! We posted at the same time again.

But, that explains it - I certainly do know the name Tsongo! I did both of your mods and really enjoyed them. I'll look forward to playing your latest endeavor! :o

Good and I hope you like this one too I'm nearly on the last two modules so it shouldn't be too far off..

Just one question though and to get back on topic what is it that makes a Mac different ( with regards to NWN2, I know the obvious answer ) and how come you needed a Mac specific mod made for this one and what does it involve changing ?

I'm no expert, but it seems to have to do with titles that are too long or too big - haks and mods. Macs can only use something like 32 letters and 28-29 are best. The funny thing is that 95% of the campaigns and mods work with or without haks, but every so often one just won't even load - they dump us to the desktop within seconds - never even make it to the char screen.

For example, I had absolutely no trouble with either of your mods and I was able to play Conan Chronicles 1, but not two. I asked the author if he would make it Mac friendly, but he hasn't done anything about it to date. On the other hand, Matthew and others want everybody to be able to play.

When I contacted Matthew and told him I played TWA, but chap. 2 wouldn't load (and later chap. 3) Kaldor Silverwand and others were helping figure out why this was happening. Basically, from what I understand, Matthew opened the haks using some program and put the files into the campaign folder and it pretty much worked (I couldn't do one quest and another Mac user couldn't do a different one) so it's weird. So far it's one mod at a time. There's a whole discussion thread here: http://social.biowar...ndex/10694400/2 if you're interested.

Thank you I will investigate as it's better to make one version that works for both and if I've managed so far hopefully I have again but I'm going to check just in case.. But this module's got 3 haks !

Are you up for being a "Mac guinea pig" in the future ?

Frosty44... Reading the post you linked me to has got me intrigued as to why some mods work on a mac and some don't. Both my mods did and the similarities in their haks are that they have six letters in the name and no numbers. So I have just renamed all seven haks in Trinity with only six letters (a mod you couldn't play ) then altered the module to accept them and it's now plodding its way into dropbox.. If you want to give it a go let me know.

If it works a ban on all hak names over six letters should be applied as trinity has seven haks so it can't get much more complicated than that !
