Hell yeah, wish I could start playing now (it's installed and all), but I have school work to do. :(

And only an 8.5 for consoles :( Guess we knew that was going to happen.

Great, console-versions are **** and 360-Version is the worst? You gotta be kidding me. Just cancelled my pre-order.

I find it interesting how, when discussing the console versions, he states that "...the PlayStation 3 has the upper hand."

Add more fuel to the fanboy fire!

Of course, the PC version is roundly better than both, as expected.

Seriously, though, this was a fairly disappointing review because it basically was written from a fan's perspective more than a critic's perspective. A lot of folks have bashed reviewers who have rated Dragon Age: Origins less than 9.5, but at least they provided more useful criticism. I like reading about flaws, etc., because that is more important than praise.

Then again, here is the ebb and flow of all releases:

Pre-release fanboy: "This game is going to be so awesome, anyone who says differently is going to be flamed by me because clearly the game is flawless even though I have never played it."

Post-release fanboy: "This game did not live up to my impossible expectations. I hate you for ruining something I looked forward to."

The same thing will happen here. As soon as people pick up the game for themselves maybe they will agree with some critics giving the game 8.0 - 9.0 scores. We tend to idealize things and only come back down to reality when forced to face the truth; in this case, the truth is found when finally playing it firsthand.

He also is biased against the 360.... wait for the IGN review to come out. You'll get the best review there.

Actuall it was

9.5  PC

9.0 Ps3

8.5 Xbox 360.

How they goofed on the Xbox 360 and not Ps3 is beyond me usualy it's the other way around.

...because it got an 8.5?  Way to overreact.  By and large console versions are getting favorable reviews, with minor differences noted.  Still doesn't make them crappy by any means.

The gamespot review is flawed. He basically gave it an 8.5 because the graphics were subpar, yet the PC review clearly states that the graphics on the PC are cr*p as well and only a hair better if that, and reviewed it more so on content as it should have been reviewed and not on an obvious shortcoming seen on all three platforms.
