I highly doubt that the DLC will be able to fix anything. But I'll try it and let you know. ;)

All the stuff they're throwing our way for free has rekindled my love and hope for Bioware.
It was never truly gone - but it was embers - now the flames roar on! :D

No because you can't please crybaby ****es... A lot of them are all like waaaah waaah waaaah we want bioware to completely redo the ending. WAAAAH. I'm pretty ashamed to be associated with that group of radicals, as that was never the focus of Retake.

A bit harsh, but i agree... its getting ridiculous now. People just want an excuse to rage at bioware. Bioware have done loads of silly stuff, but some of the reaction on the forums has been ridiculously whiny

Hell yeah I'm grateful, it will be the deciding factor on whether I open my wallet for Bioware again.

I am glad for the gesture. It is free which is what people asked for and if they can actually find a way to clarify why they went in the direction they did I'll be happy with it. It hasn't been released so none of us can really have opinions on it quite yet. If it sucks most of us will leave BioWare. If it is awesome it will restore some lost faith. There is no middle ground in this and I hope BioWare knows that.

Will there be more of Mirandas ass in this free dlc? If not then they can keep it.

Since I never asked for clarification but simply change, I will watch this DLC very carefully. Clarification always means that we, the people who disliked the ending, were simply too "stupid" to understand it. If that is what Bioware wants for its own customers, they can count me out.

I'm certainly thankful! I liked the ending, and more Mass Effect will be awesome in my book. Looking forward to see why Normandy left and how, and what happens to the different races in the Galaxy. I'm a bit worried about my Shepards Legacy considering he killed the Geth. :) He lived, so one would assume that he might actually face charges of war crimes in any follow up game. As soon as the Galaxy gets back to some sort of normal life, I can certainly see voices being raised against his decision and how close to complete extinction the whole Galaxy came. That leaves a very interesting story to be told IMO...

If there is a fly in my soup, I might be thankful for you giving me another soup. Bioware is just explaining about how the fly is part of the culinary integrity of the soup.

clarification is quite vague, It could mean anything from post end cut scenes to IT. I will judge it when I see it.

Look do you people just jump to wild conclusion, why don't people just wait until DLC is released and then judge for yourself.

Failure to meet expectations, based on clear claims and promises made throughout production, will not be fixed by a "free" epilogue.

I'm sure many sheeple will enjoy the flashy cut-scenes that may feature though...

I wish I could be so delusional to believe that this will solve all the problems with the game. But hey... *space magic*

After giving it some thought I will be grateful. After all Bioware could have said no were not going to do anything you guys get what you get. The fact that it will be free is nice (after all this nonsense it should be). Who knows this DLC may be alright. They've been pretty hush hush about it so far so who knows anything is a possibility at this point.

There is no downside to this really. It costs nothing, adds clarification, and could possible fix the ending that so many people seem to have a problem with. I actually liked the ending but obviously people didnt and they did something about it. FOR FREE! so what if they didnt completely change it get over it its not going to happen. No other company in the world would do something like this so could all the people bashing them for doing something that is unheard of at least reserve judgement until it is released. Or until then get off the forums and take your games back or throw them in the trash. Its not going to happen so just let it go you are just wasting your keyboards vitality. They are not doing any other dlc until this is released which means no extra gameplay no extra multiplayer nothing. And they are doing it for you. How about some gratitude for once on this god forsaken website.

Dude, you just don't get it, do you? Pouring free chocolate flavour sauce on a pile of c.r.a.p. still doesn't make it a delicious dessert all of a sudden.

We should be very thankful for this.
I found a lack of closure in the endings and also the complaint that my actions had little meaning. This could hopefully ammend that.

Of course, we have to wait and see if it's any good.

I'm glad that they do something in the matter.
But I'm sceptic, if anything is able to clarify the mechanics of control or synthesis.

I will be thankful when I get the product I was told I purchased. Until then, I have a product that does not meet the quality and content in which I was lead to believe. So no, not until I (the consumer) am made whole through what should have been given, or an admission of fault on the company for falling short on their advertised words, statements etc...free crap =/= admission of guilt, its just a way to get you to look the other way with a shiny object.

The free DLC looks to be exactly what i wanted so yes i would like to say thank you to Bioware.

All i wanted was for the plot holes to be fixed and a better explanation is given for the 3 different endings.

Seconded.

I would also like to see our in-game choices reflected in the ending cinematics (like in the 'Unofficial Epilogue Generator', which is pretty good imo) - and I'm cautiously optimistic that this is what is meant by 'more personalised experience'. But of course, we'll have to wait and see. Let's neither jump for joy nor write Bioware off until we see what they come up with :)

That's like being thankful to an author for shipping the last chapter of a book 5 months after the book itself came out. So of course I'm not. More than anything I'm astounded that they have any pride whatsoever in releasing an ending riddled with plot holes, contradictions, space magic, and just straight up nonsense.
