Jesus, they wrote the story and made the game. If you feel it was a mistake for you to buy it from them and you feel betrayed, then feel free to complain and not buy another one of their games.

Accept it as a bad consumer decision and move on.

But they were in every RIGHT of theirs to make it HOWEVER THEY WANTED. You had every right of yours to buy it. Both rights were exercised. Please, let's move on with our lives now. They've announced a conciliatory measure.

Somehow I just have a really hard time believing this is the "team's" artist vision for the series.  I feel like that may be a handful of people in EA/Bioware and PR crap.  I cannot imagine being a part of the massive beautiful team that made this masterpiece of a series and being proud of that awful ending someone else tacked on without my input.

You guys seem to think BioWare sucks. I want to see you guys do better.

We dont think Bioware / Mass Effect sucks.

We think how they're handling this situation is beyond terrible. Some people have given them SO many ways out of their bad endings, Bioware themselves has given themselves to many chances to douse the flames... and yet they dont, they seem to throw more fuel on it.

You guys want them to say
"WE'RE SO SORRY!!!! WE'RE TERRIBLE WRITERS!!!! 
YOU GUYS ARE SO MUCH COOLER, TALENTED AND SMARTER THAN US!!! 
WE WILL CHANGE THE ENDING TO FIT YOURS WORD FOR WORD!!!

BioWare has a team of experienced, professional writers. You sit on your couch all day. Let me ask you this, how much of Mass Effect 1 did you come up with in your head? How about 2? Nothing. All you can come up with is fanfic becuase you like changing the vision of writers that are 1,000 times better than you so you can somehow say you were artistically involved in this game. Just because 3 or 4 people came up with decent alternatives (which were based on the original "crappy" ending BTW) doesn't mean your fanfic is awesome. Sorry.

Decent alternatives?...DECENT!? The me3 ending was HORRIBLE!

Out of the very few alternatives i've looked at, they were much better than decent and a hell of alot better than what we actually received.

There are Reapers outside of the Sol system. PLOT HOLES!!!

But the majority of the Reapers are in the Sol system.

With the bulk of their forces taken care of, the fleets could then focus on the remaining holdouts.

Well said, OP. Mass Effect may be an artistic endeavor, but that also means there's room--necessarily--for critique and assessment. There are a lot of people, some not even fans, who have provided excellent reasons why this art isn't adequate art, but none of this constructive feedback seems to have much impact.

I hope I'm wrong, I hope the Extended Cut defies expectations in a big way. But right now, I think there's value in keeping positive but firm pressure on.

WHat I don't get is, if their artistic vision is so strong and everyone believes so much in it at BW, why don't they want to discuss it? Until now I thought they keep silent because they are figuring out what to do but with that out of the way, there is no excuse anymore. And they just told us that they don't want to discuss it at PAX either. BW, start a dialogue, now is the time to talk. What was your purpose with the ending, how do you guys who wrote it explain the plot holes, How do you respond the the volumes of critical questions that were asked in the last 4 weeks?
As long as that is not happening, I am afraid, it will always look like you are hiding because you know exactly what a mess this ending is and are just too proud to admit it.

Pro-tip: Karpyshyn's original idea for the endings was that the Reapers existed to prevent the spread of dark energy.

Dont talk to me about changing the vision of the writers when that is literally what Bioware themselves did.

It's always one or two Bioware supporters in all of these threads and you usually always see them troll. Do you want to know why? Because none of them can come up with logical arguments.

The endings sucked.
They are not what was promised by none other than Casey himself.
Bioware handled the fan reaction poorly and labeled us to mitigate the backlash,
Biased gaming review sites further alienated fans with more negative labeling.
A few days before PAX an official statement comes out and its followed with, we wont talk about reeks of cowardliness.

Why not simply admit you screwed up and fix it? Corporate PR and inflated egos. That's why.

The entire series was amazing. 

The ending and Biowares handling of the situation sucks.  They obviously don't care about their fans.

We are NOT the minority.

Bioware don't care about you. They are a business. All they want is your money. They got that from you. Work in the corporate world and you'll understand that. Anyone that believes a developer cares about you is naive. I'm surprised they are even putting in the time to give closure to those that need it.
