So I just noticed that although we have fought every other humanoid species (so discluding hanar and elcor) at some point, we've never fought any quarians even though almost every other species has been encountered as some sort of merc. Has anyone else realized this?

Quarians, having been forced from their homeworld in a devastating exodus probably know better than to resort to petty ambitions, like guerrilla warfare against other Citadel species or hiring themselves out as mercs...Even Krogans are short lived in that line of work, let alone a scarce, migrant population of a few million in a patchwork fleet.

Plus I would bet their immune systems would also be a lyiablity, to any merc group, i bet no one would hire them

What they said.
I am very curious to know what a Quarian husk would look like, though. I believe it was addressed that the Reapers don't see the Quarians as a threat, but hypothetically speaking that would be an interesting design concept.

Interesting indeed...A quarian husk, sealed in his or her environment suit wouldn't look like a husk at all...Think Doom 3, with entirely normal looking hostiles, until you get close enough and it starts clawing at you for a real proper shiver down your spine
