The stache is part of my epic facial hair.
Every lovely lady I know has told me to keep it- with that in mind, I'm not letting it go. Likely ever.

American girls are weird. All the chicks here in The Netherlands pretty much hate mustaches, unless the 'stache is a part of a complete beard.
The only person in the world who can pull off a 'stache and look like a sir is Johnny Depp.

I suppose we could argue whether your personal experience is better than mine for a while. I'd rather people didn't carry on describing an entire gender as having one apparently (mostly) universal attribute. "Some of them aren't" is a lousy compromise.
Based on who I know, I'd have to agree... but then I have a small number of friends and they tend not to be laddy lad types. I certainly can't sleep with someone unless I find them physically attractive, genuinely care and like that person, and it's mutual. I mean, if a really ugly woman charged at me with her vagina I'd probably throw up faster than Stephen Fry at a swinger's club for straight people. >.<
*I kid, I kid... Seriously, if anyone I didn't know just offered it on a plate, I will walk away. It's way too full-on and uncomfortable and I need to get to know the person first.

Ahh, I guess y'all feel that way due to where you are and the upbringing over there. Obviously here it'll be different.
Here the stache is fine and dandy.
Plus, I have a Van ****** beard. Most call it a goatee anyway.
Its like this-

But not as noticeable. Not unless I go a while without trimming it.

OR, if you can pull off a proper 'tache and goate like this:

Except real. And with a better hairline.

Lol, I didn't know we actually hated it. But it is indeed more common to shave here, it seems. Johnny Depp's mustache is sexy though.

Ironically enough, I've been compared to Mr. Depp in the past. Especially during Pirates of the Caribbean's height of popularity.
I imagine the reason for that being that he has long hair in those movies.

All my ex-girlfriends hated it if I didn't shave my mustache. They were fine with me having a goatee or soulpatch though.
Most of my female friends also dislike (any kind of) facial hair.
PS: You're pretty much the first Dutch girl I've ever met on this forum. As you might have noticed, I'm also Dutch.

Funnily enough, I once made the mistake of saying "shave" when I meant "trim" to my ex-girlfriend when we were discussing my facial hair, and she instantly and immediately told me not to shave it.
Reason being it'd completely change my look.
