The Arc Pistol actual has the best listed stats in the game. Unfortunately it does the worst damage of any gun in the game, except maybe the odd SMG. Is it bugged? Even the charged shot does less than a bullet from the Revenant.

If the Revenant did as much as a charged Arc Pistol shot it would lie in the second dimension of overpowered like Sabotage when the game first came out.

Pretty much. The pistol sucks because it has to be charged. The best weapons are the ones that are quick and efficient, which is why the Carnifex is so good. It does just as much damage as the arc pistol, weighs less, and doesn't have to be charged.

Hm. Outside of the weight shouldn't it be a tad stronger than Pred if you're comparing normal shots? I'd expect in order to get the most out of it you'd have to have a fast trigger finger.

It's a hybrid between the carni and the predator, but the weight is ridiculous. Lower the weight to carni level.

I think the real problem is that it doesn't arc....It's supposed to be a smaller version of the Arc Projector from ME2....I might be able to deal with a lower damage if it was spreading from enemy to enemy...

Agreed
Make it arc on charge, do mega damage to shields/barriers, electrostun, and prime for tech burst and BLAM, great weapon.
EDIT: Btw, the arc pistol is actually a shotgun, the more you charge it the more shots it fires up to 3. Kinda...

It is worse than the Geth Pulse Rifle. The Arc Pistol makes me wonder how many other guns have their stats listed completely wrong. If the Arc Pistol actually was a good as its stats showed, it would easily be the best gun in the game.

I think the arc pistol can set off tech bursts? I heard it does extra damage to shields to. Put it on an engineer overload spam and arc pistol to rape shields and synthetics.

Its hardly the worst, if you've got a very quick trigger finger you can fire off quite a few rounds very quickly, I tended to skip charging it up when shooting medium to long range targets in case I missed. I've used it before on Silver and did just fine with it.

I'm with Ash, I used the weapon when I first started before I had any better options and I did just fine with it. I never thought it was a bad weapon at all. Did it get nerfed or something? I havent used it since like day 2 or 3 though so I don't know..

my 10 year old brother, entered a match for silver against cerberus yesterday and wanted to try this weapon on his infiltrator, he didn't noticed that the host changed settings to gold. end of story, they managed to beat gold and he was the one with highest score. so hm this gun can be usefull even on gold, but i think anything besides an infil should stay away from it =D

Yeah but the description doesn't lie. It doesn't say it jumps from one to another, all it says is that its based on the ARC Projector and nothing more.
