Corrupted Save Files

I'm getting corrupted save files.  All auto saves fail, and I get the message on load that says"  one or more save files are corrupted ,would you like to delete".  I find that if I clear the corrupted files I can sometimes, not always it seems, get a clean save if I overwrite an existing save file.  I'm very concerned that doing this means I'll run out of saves since it doesn't seem to be a 100% work around.  I tried moving the save file from HD to a flash drive, no change in the error.

Any help much appreciated.

New data: I've found that if I delete older saves I can once again get auto saves, and save new files. So it seems I've hit a total save limit, but unlike other times when I couldn't save new files, this time I'm still given the option of creating a new save. Creating a new save will result in all new additional data being corrupted, so old data must be removed as soon as the error show up.

Turns out it's not that simple. Still getting corrupted saves. I think it's because the new save files are larger than the old. So even if I clear out old ones, I'll get a few auto saves through, but corruption returns.

You wouldn't be running out of space on your hard drive or wherever you are saving your game would you? That's what it sounds like to me.

The other alternative is that it's a hard drive and it's on the way out. My advice is to get a flash drive and use that for your saves for now.

Nope, have space on the HD, and I also transferred the save itself to a flahs drive to test that.
