erm, Loghain wasn't power hungryArchonsg wrote...
If I could I would have had Alister simply execute Anora along with her father right on the spot. She's proven herself to be as power hungry as Loghain and worse, unlike Loghain who is obvious about it, she is subtle enough to hide her ambitions while manipulating those around her. She has backstabbed me so many times I just wished I could have run her through myself.

I read that if you choose to marry Anora, and hardened Leliana's personality while romancing her, Leliana will be your mistress. Not sure if it's true though.
I don't know if I "hardened" her but in the epilogue it stated she stayed with me in Denerim.

Loghain's take over of the throne had nothing to do with him wanting power, he did it because he was paranoid about Orlais trying to take over and thought he had to do it to save Fereldan from themDaishar Vneef wrote...
Not power hungry? And I suppose a Great White is just another fish to you?

He wishes to protect Ferelden from Orlais, but he did it by leaving King Cailin to die, allying himself with the scumbag Arl Howe, poisoning Arl Eamon and imprisoning his daughter...
...it's rather clear to me that he lusts for power, it's simply that his ends of that power aren't selfish in and of themselves. However, many dictators who are considered "power hungry" honestly believed they were acting in their nation's best interests.

Has anyone been romantically involved with Alistar, had him be named King, and then sacrificed at the end? Just wondering if that would make you King...or if Anora would just default back to being in charge.
I've done it with a human noble female. It defaults back to Anora, though I got at least one glitched ending blurb that still thought Alistair was king.

Technically no. Technically you're the "Prince-Consort," not the king. Anora wants to keep the political power all for herself, and the ending if you go this route comments that you and Anora would make a better team if you weren't butting horns for power all the time.swk3000 wrote...
Just a quick question: It is actually possible for a Male Human Noble to be King by marrying Arnora?

From my experience no. I had a hardened Leliana at 100 love, and convinced Anora to let me rule beside her.
First time I talked to Leliana she said we need to talk,
I was given three options:
1) Yes, we need to end this
2) It doesn't need to change anything, I still care for you deeply.
3) It is simply for the good of Ferelden.
No I don't remember being given an option to say I will break it off with Anora.
Anyway, first time I picked #2, and she responded "I respect the queen to much as a person, and a women, to do something like that to her"
I reloaded and tried #3, and got the same response pretty much.
And yes I'm positive I had Leliana hardened because I did the threesome with Isabella.
So from my experience, no Leliana will not stay with you.

LOL, you didn't read it carefully, the way it was worded meant that IF you didn't vie with Anora for influence, THEN Ferelden still could have a golden age, but the Warden and Anora must come to agreements first.

No. You're her "king consort". You're her second in command.

Can I become king without right to the throne?
Nope, destroying the Blight is NOT a reason to be king, it is your duty as a warden, having a dodgy right almost provoked a civil war with Loghain, so you can either cemment Loghain's claim or take an actual person who has a real claim to take it.
Monarchy works like that, what you are suggesting is akin to have a street policeman demanding to have the same rights as the governor because he gets rid of criminals in the streets, just not going to happen unless said policeman makes a political campaign and wins an election. (I know I am extremely simplifying but people who say "Meh destroys the Blaittts" are simplifying as well)
