My greatest fear is that it will be a bunch of stuff that explains that "everything worked out in the end" without bothering to explain it against all the lore that tells us otherwise.

The ending is inherently flawed. With star child, logic regarding synthetics that the game itself openly calls bullsh!t, relays gone/nonsensical explosions, all of that on top of the incredible amount of anti diversity and morally corrupt implications of each choice. Expanding on a scene that is so woefully bad - so offensive to the parameters of the rest of the game cannot possibly be made satisfying. I cannot narrow it down to a #1 reason.

More clarification about the ending can actually be given to us from Bioware themselves, not in some form of DLC. I wanted clarification on WTF just happened in the ending, ever since I beat the game, I don't need DLC for that.

So, they made the most terrible choice they could have made about the ending.
We ask them for more, we offer them even crazy ways out like IT, we are willing to pay 10 for a new ending if they don't want to do that. They say we are entitled, that the plotholes are art, but that they're listening and we should wait for PAX.

Now Pax is coming but they're not going to talk about the ending, and we have to wait until summer for a 4 minutes cutscene that most probably will try to fix the plotholes in a pathethic way.

If someone leaves angry from these forums it's because Bioware ruined it, we're not negative, no one ever leaved angry from these forums with ME1 or ME2, we're angry for a reason. If you aren't well, good for you.

I have doubts that the DLC will redeem our trust. I'm just not holding my breath for it.

The thing is : you are angry because of speculation. Who ever said it would be 4 minutes? Who ever said it will be in a pathetic way? Maybe what they will make will be way better than what even the biggest optimist of us all ever said.
So basically I cannot see any reason why you would be angry now.
To many variables are unknown to draw conclussion at this moment.

My main issue with the ending wasnt the plot holes, it wasnt the star child, and wasnt even my death. My main issue was that all the choices I made ment nothing at the end. Save the rachni queen or leave her to die, who cares.. all you get is a number. Find giant rhinos for the krogan to ride.. who cares.. you dont get to see them in action. Nothing I did affected the endings. That was the most disappointing thing for me. Tons of choices with everyone getting the same exact endings.

The words "clarification" and "expanded."

Neither of which are "removal of that silly, forced kid."

"Artistic Integrity". Seriously, BioWare is so full of themselves.

This.
I still do not understand how they could have made such a blatantly stupid move as to drop Drew Karpshyns original ending in favor of the b******t we have now.

Why doesnt anyone reserve their judgement until seeing what Bioware has cooked up for us? As far as all of us know, the Extended Cut could provide all the answers we're looking for, prove the IT, etc.

I don't hate the extended cut, i just think it's unnecessary.

The implementation of deus ex machina doesn't really appeal to me, but i have accepted the ending, and (in my opinion) it is poor and doesn't need an explanation.

What is this a dvd now? Get the new special edition with deleted scenes? Wow Bio. We wanted starbrat thrown out the window. Not some deleted scenes that probably still won't make any sense.

I think some post had quotes from Jessica's twitter pointing this direction even. That depending on your choice the mass relays could be fixed etc.

But that is speculation and that I rather leave open for my fantasy :)

That could be a least a positive event. However I suppose "fixing" the Mass Relays would be a different endings and they excluded it.

I wish you are right.
My interest for Mass Effect series is fading away.....sad but true.

The link is very interesting.
However, considered what happened before, I fear the "no one starves to death" could be the result of blue/red/ green space magic .

Maybe I'm too pessimistic on the matter but the "precedents", namely the current endings, are "heavy".

I hope it turns out to be good. They must know what all the issues are by now, they must be able to come up with something that builds up the scenes leading to the ending and provides more satisfaction with the endings sequences. It will be difficult with the Starkid still included, but maybe they can give his scenes a different focus and add more impact to our decisions in the cut scenes.

Well...it doesn't fix anything. Its like getting mowed down with a .50 cal and someone walks up and puts a band aid on you. Underneath...all the problems still remain. Everything complained about was not addressed or even mentioned, to the point it makes this DLC feel seriously like an inexpensive and quick way to be able to say "Well..we did technically listen to the fans" without actually delivering on what we want or have asked for.

I went into the final battle with Ashley (my LI) and Vega. The end shows those two stepping out of the Normandy. The extended cuts may be able to explain some of the end game but I don't see how extended cuts will explain this away. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but i am not hopefull.
