We weren't even acknowledged as the core fanbase. We were brushed off as an unpleasant hindrance. Instead of thanking the fanbase for diligent waiting and obvious care, we got veiled insults.
Their statement was essentially "so we're changing the ending for all those nay-sayers who complain because they didn't understand it and ZOMG 75 PERFECT REVIEWS kthxbai." I'm offended by that. And by the similar lack of appreciation since release day (even in-game).
No matter how good this revision turns out to be, I've lost quite a lot of respect for Bioware due to their PR handling of this situation.

A new ending would have been nice, but it doesn't mean it would have been better, and it could have actually made more of a mess of things.
We really don't know what they're going to do, they may allow new options/choices, new information that clears things up.

I mean... The developers wouldn't be trying to do the cheap "THIS IS A CHILD! YOU MUST LOVE IT!" act where we must try and give a damn about this child who we only saw in one game.
Nah... Thats stupid, I doubt they would of done that.

They'll "give in," to our "Demands," when they realize that about 80% of the game was a shallow, linear, unimmersive kill-quest that had little in common with its two predecessors.
OK so now your demand is that they remake the whole game.
What I love with you "retake" people is the consistency.
Putting words in my mouth? Off to a great start, aren't we?
I never stated such a thing was "My," demand, I was not a part of the "Retake," team, and I even denounced them; both here and on related sites; due mostly to the fact that they were abusing a charity, and that there was no way in hell or anywhere else that it would actually work.
But would I like such a thing to happen? Yes, I won't deny it, I found ME3 to a complete waste of my time and interest. Do I have any delusions that such a thing will happen? Hell no, which is why I never once "Demanded," such a thing happen. I merely said I would like it to.
Maybe my inclusion of the word "Our," was misplaced, but the fact remains; many players consider it was more than just the ending (Singular.) that ruined the game. What my post meant was that people aren't looking for a little epilogue tacked on to a still abysmal ending; many are simply waiting for a public acknowledgement from Bioware on how poorly they handled the series. That's why I said "When they realize."

Well, you've technically already seen it because the endings aren't changing.
So there is that...

Do we love ourselves? HELL YES WE DO.
Are we doing anything? NO. SUCK IT.
Do we listen to you? WE HEAR YOU SPEAKING.
I know he didn't intend it quite that way, but it came off as needlessly defensive, and it didn't exactly inspire confidence in how BioWare plans to address the issues with the ending.

If this child is intended to play a serious role in subsequent Mass Effect games, I seriously hope Bioware listens to fan feedback before continuing development.
