Starbrat and its crappy choices are still there and looks like Shepard will still obey it . And probably we'll get an extending scene showing the Normandy's cowardice.
Your #1 reason why you already hate the extended cut.

The fact that the ending hasn't been changed is my main gripe. The relays are still destroyed and every previous choice made in the series is still pointless. No amount of additional cutscenes will change that.
I hope I'm somehow wrong, though. Maybe these new scenes will change the ending for the better. Here's hoping they do, anyway.

Starchild. But that's been documented to death. So I'll say the preemptively total unwillingness to discuss the ending at PAX.

That was one of the most insulting things I've ever seen.

I understand your need to constantly jump into threads, post something passive aggressive, then run like a little girl, but why do you keep posting your thread link?
If you can't get views and replies with standard bumping and a good topic maybe you should just let your post die.

If someone gave me a pint of ice cream and it was made of 25% dog crap and 75% ice-cream even though the majority of it is made up of ice-cream the crap is going to be what I taste.
So even though the majority of ME3 was amazing, the thing that sticks in my mouth is the ending. So now all they are doing is keeping the dog crap and adding some sprinkles on top to see if that will get rid of the bad taste.....guess what.
It will still taste like crap just with sprinkles.

I don't already hate it. However, based on the description of it given by BioWare's blog post, it does not seem like it will address my concerns.

The very fact that they said NO to new or alternate ending as it would go against their "artistic choices" and that we need clarification. Clarification if necessary when describing a new concept in Physics...this was a game about a soldier who NEVER gave up...until the last 10 minutes of the 3rd game. An ending so different from what came before it that most wondered what was going on...this is NOT an ending that would logically follow the game that preceded it.
1. By them saying NO to any new or alt ending means that our requests are falling on deaf ears...even though in many interviews, Casey and company promised one thing then failed to deliver then fall behind the 'artistic integrity' shield.
2. Stating 3 times in the press release that they are going to clarify it for us...again, clarification for a new concept in Physics I can understand. WE UNDERSTAND when a game has a crappy ending...we have played games for most of our lives. We also UNDERSTAND that a good ending, one that logically follows what came before it can be something that people will remember and talk fondly off for years to come. Everyone remember the ending to Star Wars? Death Star goes BOOOOM! People still talk about the first time they saw that scene and how satisfying Luke's journey through that movie still is... With ME3 ending, it is ALL people will talk about, how it ruins 3 games by being an ending that literally came from left field. It does NOT follow logically what came before it. This WILL be something people will talk about, but they will talk about it in a negative sense. Remember ME3 ending? MAN...DID THAT SUCK!!! They won't talk about all the cool decisions they made, they won't talk about the Love Interests...they will only talk about how BAD the ending was.
These forums used to be filled with threads from fans talking about how they approached a certain mission, or speculation as to what was coming and how they couldn't wait for it...now it is filled with speculation on whether or not Bioware still has some magic left and can save this possibly doomed franchise. What a shame...

We don't know anything about and BioWare doesn't want to talk about it on PAX. It could be even worse than the ending for all we know.

all right guys im a bit sick of all the doom and gloom about the extended ending dlc.....
i agree the starchild was a dumb idea to start with,
i agree ea/bioware did treat the community and its fanbase condescendingly,
i also agreee that they should really edit that thing out instead of just adding to the current ending,
HOWEVER
i also think we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
before you start condemning something for contetnt you do not yet know will be the way you think it will be (for all we know the ending will get a scene in which the starchild turns out to be harbinger), let them acutally produce it and dish it out.
dont start ****ing before you know what will happen, because THAT is what makes you sound like crybabies.
the reason ea/bioware adressed the ending is at least in part due to the criticism being based in FACT, not alone because you threatened not to buy anymore bioware products.
let them do their thing, let us try to keep an open mind and let us actually criticise the new ending for what it is, not for what you think it will be.
TLDR: stop ****ing about things that arent done yet

I don't hate anything concerning DLC. I don't know anything.
What I hate is that BioWare will not explain exactly what they are doing. I've waited enough. As more time passes, it's becoming clearer there was no plan after the ending. I guess I'm angry because all signs point to me being wrong, but really I don't care about that. I could be wrong and they could still explain it. Now, I have to wait till the 'summer' to get an explanation that I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A MONTH AGO.
Five years....five freaking years.

They seem like they don't see the problem at all, you know all those pride and artistic integrity lines...
or maybe we the fans just can't see what the ending is supposed to be? I can't see it, and I know many others can't see it. or don't get it, I certainly don't get it.
Why can't someone just explain what happens once i get hit by that beam of light, and then proceed to meet the star child, why can't we know?
Oh, c'mon, Harbinger had warned you this is beyond your comprehension
This is true.

First time posting, been stalking for a while. Agree with everything here:
Star-Jar, the reversal of established themes, disregard for lore, railroading of characters into being abysmally stupid, and of course
Edit: Forgot I only had to mention my #1 reason. Oops! Guess is it's 'just' Star-Jar then.

I don't hate it. How can I hate something that I don't know anything about.
But based off what little we have been told, it seems to me they won't be addressing the A, B, C, ending. They won't be making the choices and the end reflect your choices throughout the game. Basically, it seems they aren't addressing at all the promises they broken.
I can't say 100% they won't. But Jessica on Twitter said there won't be any new choices added. The FAQ pretty much shuts down a lot of things.
Look, I think the Starchild + the reaper logic is awful. But, I can accept that plot. I can accept that they just wrote a poor ending to a great series. I'm okay with them keeping all that, but I just wanted them to address the other issues I mentioned above. And I basically get the gist they aren't going to do that.
So while it's nice they are clarifying their end which was poorly told, it really does nothing for me.

I expect that Bioware really will do a good job on clarifying the three endings, but what I really want is the choice to abstain. Let the fleet battle decide it, or force the star child to make the choice. I refuse to choose between slavery, forced hybridization, and the death of the geth.
