I WANT this to fix the problems most of us had with the ending, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and pray that Bioware can pull off a miracle.

I can honestly live with the rest of it being clarified. Starkid is stupid, but if Bioware thought it was cool to make the Catalyst the ghost of a dead boy then whatever. Still can't accept the thought of Joker and the Squad turning into cowards and liars.

I love the Extended Cut of The Lord of The Rings Movies and they have about 2 more hours of movie to the original film or so.
So the Extended Cut Ending DLC may give us those Consequences we wanted to see and to see what happened to our friends.

Just curious. Why do you hate a friend for making an awesome meal with bitter desert who is still feeding you?
Because he is feeding me just more of the ****-sandwich I didn't want in the first place...

I hate the fact that they have out-maneuvered us. This is an example of brilliantly ruthless PR tactics. All because of one magical little word; Free. Its stopped us dead in our tracks as there's little way to argue against something we're getting for free.
Its fantastic timing as well, one day before PAX and I for one, saw it coming a mile off. Its thrown the fanbase into disarray, some are happy, some are placated for now and some are even more incensed. Now they have a legitamate reason to not talk about the ending in front of journalists. "Please refer to the press release we gave yesterday."
The statement yesterday is a stalling tactic, nothing more. It said very little while seemingly stating a lot. Its purposefully vague to avoid accusations later down the line like we've seen recently. They are keeping their options wide open still. They just had to get through PAX unscathed and it will be incredibly interesting to see what happens later on today.

Bloody hell. Fix the ending don't make the mistake bigger.
What are they going to do?
Have Starchild tell shepard that the following are not plotholes or badly written/planned/implemented?
Maybe explain to shepard a whole new law of physics that explains Normandy's retrieval and then escape from a massive explosion that moved faster than the normandy anyway.
As someone earlier said, if they have to make extra 'content' in order to explain their ending then the endings have already failed. Either FIX the endings or admit that the endings are one (three) of the worst known in gaming.
@KennyAshes
We don't hate the friend, we just hate what they are trying to make us swallow.

That last line is exactly why I said that.
People here are hating 'the friend' for something they swallowed voluntairely.

Because I bought and paid for it while he cooked, yet he didn't deliver on what he said he was doing. Besides, I wouldn't hate my friend, I'd just give him hell for a week or two. Too bad Bioware isn't my friend.

Still don't understand the decision to trivialize the Reapers in the last minute when they have been the the beings of incomprehensibly immense scale until that point.
2. Harbinger.
Should have been the main antagonist of ME3.
Instead we got TIM.
Seriously, what was the purpose of ME2 and all that development which seemed to lead to a fateful battle against Harbinger, if you are not going to include him in ME3 other than that token appearance.
