I think its called gibbed or something but it modfies the save files somehow to look for the other eyes and a list of other things you can do too.
Oh so not happening on my Xbox huh. Gotcha

I play on the console, I could of used this face code thing on my console to get my Shepard back to where he is supposed to be.
http://s7.photobucke...rdJohnathan.jpg

I know some people, my GF, have pointed out my Shepard looks like a cross between black, white and asian. Eh I don't know, or care, I played around with it in ME1 and I like it. But it just aggrivates me that I can't play him in ME3, I mean i kept the saves around because they said, it would continue in ME3.

Actually their is a tutorial floating around for doing that with a USB flash drive for the 360 save games. I have no idea how well it works but search around with google.

Isn't that likely to get one banned from Xbox Live though ?

So I'm assuming that this has become the defacto thread for posting about face imports since Priestly (in hos infinite wisdom) decided to lock down the official thread.
You're ****ting me, they locked down the original face thread despite it being a justified complaint that it doesn't work properly?
Says it all, huh. They fail to fix it and try to stop us talking about it. Guess they'll start banning people who dare complain next.

Yeah, but I dont think EA has any specific guidelines except of "Don't upset our shareholders". That's why we wont see any of them apologizing to us. If they do, they will look "weak" and admitting to a fault. That wont happen. Compare that to the the japanese culture where it is mandatory to apologize (and you must apologize like your life is on the line.

Some others also got veeeeeery different hair. I don't know what was Bioware thinking when they changed almost every hair in every game. And now they decided to change the eyes too.
Anyway, I think they're gonna enter "DEAL WITH IT" mode now.
Best thing the community can do is look for a way with mods to try import previous Shepards looking exactly as they were.

We wouldn't have this problem if they didnt decide to shove in a useless Multiplayer part in this game. I blame it solely on consoles. My guess is that they had to compromise to make room for the MP part due to limitations of the consoles in comparison to PC.

However, the reaction to the face import situation and BS claim that it's fixed has hammered one more nail in to the BioWare coffin for me.

EDIT: Or any tips on how I can compare faces? I read somewhere that somebody used transparent layers in Photoshop. Did that work decently?
Yes, I did. It works very well. Check my signature link for more details.
This is exactly what I was afraid of. I'm totally inept at the CC screen. Its 4AM I am dogtired, hungry and my eyes hurt and I've got this headache that just won't go away. I cannot even seem to get it 90% right. Did BioWare change noses? It seems a bit off for me. Then again everything seems off right now except for the eyes strangely enough.
What do you focus on first? The contour of the face, the eyes, the nose or hell even the mouth?
Edit 1: Continuity

Can't you not play the game through Origin if you've done any modding of any kind? I play on Xbox so I could be wrong about that.

LOL, just read the "lockdown" post in the other thread - I love how the people are completely ignored apart from a comment about faces being "slightly" different... guess he/they didn't even bother looking at the examples - I guess since they're still insisting it's fixed it won't be looked in to again... Just hope that attitude doesn't carry over for the ending content.
However, the reaction to the face import situation and BS claim that it's fixed has hammered one more nail in to the BioWare coffin for me.
Yeah, real dissapointing... No one over at Bio thought that this might upset ME fans at all? After they find out, they don't want to use any resources to fix it?
I've been a big Bio fan since 2003, and a huge fan after ME 1, but from an outsider's view (haven't played ME 3 b/c my Shep looks messed up) I'm really worried that they may be going downhill

It's funny my three female shepard's pre-patch would all go to deafult face code because of the error message but post-patch at least they look like themselves now minus a few gray eyebrows and some odd things here and there. Though my maleshep's are a punch to the gut, so heartbroken to see that this bug has not been fixed.
Here are my two male shepard's that have been carried over since ME1.
Alex Shepard ME2:

Alex Shepard ME3 Pre & Post Patch:

Now here is my Julius Shepard ME2:

Julius Shepard Pre & Post Patch:

See the huge difference? They didn't even get the facial hair right they recreated them both completely. I want my studs back.
I don't understand what is happening but when one of your biggest selling factors is how your own custom shepard's can carry over each game they should be working. I don't even feel like recreating them. It was completely disheartening to look so forward to the game and having all six of my shepards not even import properly. I am so disappointed.

Yes, they changed noses, eyes, and mouth. Yay. Fun, huh?
I took screencaps in ME2 of front, both sides, top and bottom. Beware that the angle is different in ME3, but you can still work with it. I used these as my base layers in photoshop. I then loaded ME3, put in the base facecode. As I changed things, I took screencap, pasted into photoshop, then overlayed the layer over the top of the ME2 base. I adjusted the transparency to 50%. If it was off, it was noticeable. I repeated this process until I got the right shapes. I started with face shape first, then eyes, nose and mouth. I could not get the same eyes and nose, so I just tried to get the closest match. Nose has to be matched in the side view. Nose height in the front view.
This was a process of trial and error, and I am very resentful that I did it at all. My original ME1/2 face was unmodified. I used ONLY the vanilla CC. The vanilla CC in ME3 should have translated it without fuss.
