Yeah, that's quite hilarious. But at least Sheploo can be re-obtained by selecting Default Appearance. But as the default femshep has been replaced by some weirdo, she can never be taken into Mass Effect 3.CDRSkyShepard wrote...

Not if you had a renegade Sheploo...the scars don't transfer and you can't select the default face with the scars.
I thought the old default FemShep import looked quite similar, save the hair color.

Hi Everyone.
Mass Effect 3 Patch 2 is now available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. You can see a full list of fixes here. One of the most important fixes was for people who could not import their Commander Shepard face codes from Mass Effect 2 into Mass Effect 3, this issue is resolved with Patch 2 and fans can now import their Shepard’s faces into Mass Effect 3.
I am seeing people saying that even though the faces can import, they do not look identical to how they appeared in Mass Effect 2. While the face codes do now correctly import into Mass Effect 3, due to improvements in things like shaders, lighting, textures, etc they will not look identical to the faces in Mass Effect 2. This was the same situation when players imported faces from Mass Effect 1 into Mass Effect 2. The team has worked very hard to make sure that faces look as close to previous versions as possible. If there are small details you want to adjust, remember you can adjust your faces after importing before you start playing the game.
If your face has significant changes or you cannot import your save, please check these steps:
- The saved game you are importing should be the final saved game from the end of Mass Effect 2.
- The saved game should not have been modified in any way.
- If you are using the correct saved game and have not modified your face code, please report your problem in the Technical Support forum for your platform or contact our Customer Service. Thanks.
What about "It is literally impossible to recreate my Shepard no matter what I do, unless I get a third party program and edit exact vertices"? Because this is a problem I am having that cannot be fixed ingame at all. And whenever I got something sorta close, her eyebrow ridge would clip through her eyeball when she was annoyed.
I still haven't played the game, you know. At all. I have seen that opening more times than I can express, because I can't tell if any face I make is going to have that horrible clipping bug. Also, they look WAY DIFFERENT once you get ingame. WAY different. Before was "Okay, that's close enough." Ingame? "AGH WHAT IS JERI RYAN DOING HERE?!" (I don't know why it's always Jeri Ryan, but it is)
Interesting. My Shepard ended up looking like half the lady-Sheps in this thread. Who all kinda ended up resembling each other a bit. I particularly like the black guy who turned white and the hispanic guy who also turned white, though!
Oh well. Guess I can always play multiplayer and burn my eyes out with Hunter mode. If I am blind, I won't be able to tell how weird she looks...

she totally looks the same, her chin and nose structure is spot on. The only difference is that her skin looks smoother and her hair looks more detailed.

Chin and nose (from the side) is about all that looks the same. The biggest problem is with the eyes. They're different. And the whole front of the face is different.Eterna5 wrote...

Oh, and as a reference, here's how my femshep looked like in ME2:

The ME3 version of my femshep resembles Traynor much more than she resembles my ME2 femshep. Awesome, eh?

They were supposed to. BioWare *said* if we had scars, we'd keep them in ME3.
But, then again, they *said* a lot of things.

Will I be able to make changes to my Shepard when I import?
You will be given the option to alter the appearance of Shepard, and you will be able to change class (i.e. Soldier to Adept) as well.
>>>>NOTE: Some ME2 saves will not be able to import the face-file of your Shepard. You will need to re-create the appearance when importing the file.<<<<
From their own Custoemr Service page, the one that Christ Priestly directs us to to get this fixed now they are done with patching? https://help.ea.com/...o-mass-effect-3
Either I am really misconstruing this or I have a right to feel abandoned t this point.

I don't understand how this guy still has a job in PR. If he was working for me, he'd be gone a long time ago, as he seems better at stirring up trouble than simmering it down.
The team may have worked very hard, but clearly there is more work to do. I own a carpet and flooring company. If I was supposed to fit out a clients home in carpet, worked all day but missed out the master bedroom and said to the client: "We're done now. You haven't got any carpet in your bedroom, but because it's different carpet that you had last time, you shouldn't take any notice. We worked really hard on this and we think it's good enough to leave your bedroom with floorboards. If you disagree, be sure to post a message in the forum, where we probably won't see it."
That's in effect whats going on here.

I attempted to re-create my shepard using the steps provided at:
social.bioware.com/project/7987/#details%20Enjoy!
However the only thing I was successful in doing was corrupting ME3 & was forced to re-install. I have done previous modding to Fallout & New Vegas, but this process seems to be a little more involved.

Now that Chris Priestly has more or less confirmed Bioware has no intention of fixing the character creator in ME3, I am forced to explore other avenues. I will continue to support this issue until it is resolved for all platforms. In the meantime, is there anyone who is famaliar with textmod/gibbed that wouldn't mind mentoring me through this process? If you are willing, please contact me privately. If I am successful I plan on creating a blog that will help other PC users restore their desired shepards.

I would like to know if Chris Priestley is posting as a messenger for the top level BW/EA ppl ore that he can post whatever he feels like. His Job is Communications Manager.. What does that mean?
Also i would like to know if BW has people assigned as forum customer Helpers.
And... i would also like to know if i (ore any of you) has complaints about the company then were to go?
In my work if someone has a complaint on me ore something i did and do it official i have to spent at least 6 hours time in putting it all together and put everything on paper. If the complaint was considered correct i in some cases even have to bring flowers and apologize.
In my country ( The Netherlands, Europe) every major company does have a department ore sub-department were you can post ore phone you'r problems..
Doesnt Bioware have that ?
Take Care

Well i would like to know why it is that we have to complete the game before importing.
Is it because you noticed the Female head on the male Shep ? (before endgame?)
In my humble opinion that is very strange.
So we are not allowed to import a Shep that has not finished the endgame?
Supoose i hate the endings of ME3 and i decide to play it and let Marauder Shields kills me..
Then ME4 comes... am i then not allowed to Import the ME3 Shepard?
Please explain.

I'm curious. Now with Bioware having washed their hands of the face import debacle and it going unresolved, how many of you people here who are still affected by this still want to play the game?? Has Bioware's treatment of you tarnished the game for you?
I'm not going to play, just because my Shepards don't look like my Shepards. No matter how Bioware handled it, even if they had promptly acknowledged the problem, and apologized...as long as it's not actually fixed, I still won't play.
But, Bioware's handling of this did cause me to cancel my swtor subscription, even though I was having fun with that game. To me, swtor wasn't GREAT, simply because I didn't like the MMO elements of it. But, it was still worth playing for the stories.
But after this issue hit, and Bioware didn't even respond to it...I couldn't stomach giving money to them anymore, even for a game I liked.

It was the patch not working for my male that made me break down and finally just atttempt at remaking him. I succeded marginally, but this has definitely hurt Bioware's reputation.
