Nothing. That is exactly what happens when I use what is included in the tool at current. You'll fnd the nose, cheeks and ears are probably better. Also, maybe the right eye (from Shepard's perspective) is also better. This is because that's all that's changed in THIS version of the tool.Astralify wrote...
Thank you woodbyte for your awesome lazarus tool.
However I have a little problem. For some reason my ME2 LODs doesn't import corectly into the program. Here is screenshot:
So what I'm doing wrong?
The tool allows you to pick what vertices in ME2 will transfer into what vertices in ME3, creating a map. At current, the map isn't complete but it's available for anyone to try and create their own. Still, it looks like your nose and right eye are more like ME2 (at lest to me) which means it's working
When you made your ME3 save, did you use "Adjust OffsetBones"?

Yup, that should help.
Also, I don't know if you read the readme recently but middle mouse drag allows for panning the view. I don't think I mentioned b4.
And like I said in previous post, multiple vertex adjustment was meant to have 2 toggleable modes (group move or collapse). The new executable with that can be downloaded here, just replace the old one with it:
http://me3-lazarus.g...arusProject.exe
Also for future reference you can see all release changes here. There probably won't be any for a while, but that should show you any activity. If you click a revision and then navigate to the LazarusProject.exe file you can download it by right-click->save-as on"View raw file" link.
Good luck to anyone tackling the mapping. And to reiterate if you find a working mapping of an eye, please do share! And thanks.
Yeah, that implies the included mapping of the right eye isn't that great.

[edit] Basically conclusion is, I got right shapes on everything - eyes, lips, nose, face. The only thing wrong is the proportions are elongated. If I can figure out how to scale it, I might be good to go.

Well the included mapping is in no way complete so expect odd results particularly if the 2 saves have very different faces. But it looks as if you've somehow deleted the map. Freshly downloaded and with last executable (see here) it should look like this after loading the saves:

You realize you posted this on a page where someone's explaining the computer program they had to write in order to work on the problem, right?

Even though the patch somehow worked for all the Shepards that I have imported so far I have to agree with this sentiment. It's about money at the end of the day. Losing the core Bioware/RPG gamer won't hurt them when they expect to attract the much larger casual gamer MP/Shooter demographic. It's win-win for them.sixthnewkid wrote...

It's like they want to drive away their core fans or something.
This is sadly a proven fact and is documented here on their forums. Its very odd and we are left with a broken game and a developer who once delivered great games. Hell how about an apology or a "Commuinty Managaer" who actually gave information instead of LOCKDOWN! Bioware is a joke and they lost me as a customer.

Does not compute! Making casual MP/Shooters would be a win (presumably).

In the screenshots other people have posted, there's a 'Save ME3' button in the upper right. For me, there's nothing to the right of the 'Open ME3' button. Not the file location field, not the Save button, not the greyed out help button.
Also, before I load any saves, the field is there to the right of 'Open ME2,' but it says 'no save loaded'. Nothing to the right of 'Open ME3,' though.

Its only short term gain though. EA burns all the goodwill built up by Mass Effect, turns it into another generic online multiplayer derpfest. Mass Effect dies a slow lingering ignominious death.

For them in the short term yes as stated above. EA's shortsightedness may eventually lead to it's downfall eventually. But probably not in the near future.lillitheris wrote...

But then Activision would be the most powerfull publisher out there. I would rather kill myself then watch every game turn into another CoDfest... oh wait.

3. If you are using the correct saved game and have not modified your face code, please report your problem in the Technical Support forum for your platform or contact our Customer Service. Thanks.
Oh really? Well could you tell EA support that?
Their response to my complaint about my femshep import looking unlike my ME2 femshep:
Thank you for writing to Electronic Arts.
Unfortunately, we do not handle in-game support issues for Product at this time, and I am sure you understand this fact and co-operate with us. At present we are only providing support for Billing, technical and account issues. However you can visit their forums, located here: www.forums.electronicarts.co.uk . You can also update your support request by clicking on the My Questions link on http://support.ea.com. The best people to speak to would be the developers and the only way to do that would be to post on the forums. We here are only tech support and have no control over the design on the game.
Best Regards,
Ravi

Indeed, I wondered why we were being directed at Customer Service. Surely that was going to be the response regardless? Unless CS has some miracle ability to fix the broken face, which they wouldn't do if the developers hadn't it either, I don't see the purpose in telling us contacting them.Vhalkyrie wrote...

Ive updated the ticket referencing Chris' post where he tells us to report the problem to EA support, and have asked the to honour their support obligations. I've paid £60 for this game, I expect more than a "not our problem guv" cop-out response.

They all suck to me. EA, Activision and Ubisoft. Gaming in general is getting more and more homogenous and they ALL are to blame. They all have the same shortsighted business practices so the all eventually will go under eventually. Good riddance. Maybe they'll learn that actually innovating video games should be the wave of the future and not dictating demand.Da-Fort wrote...

Done. I'd like to suggest people raise EA support tickets with pictures of their failed shep imports as Chris prompted us to. They may realise they have to deal with support issues. EA supplied the game, so the responsibility for answering support issues with them, not the developer surely.
