Yeah, my femshep in ME3 isn't bad, but she just feels like a different person from the first two games. I liked her appearance most in ME2, and trying to tweak her appearance to look similar in ME3 was very hard, and even with all the work I put into it she still looks off. All her features simply look bigger to me.

Your ME2 girl looks like she could be Dr. Chakwas' daughter.  I like her.  Your ME3 girl looks like Starbuck.  Good job.

Question. If you went rennegade in me2 and didn't bother correcting your implants do your red eyes and glowing scars carry over?

I don't know the answer, my only Renegade took the plastic surgery…

No, but they come back very quickly.

It's not just the faces that look worse IMO. I feel the same about models and animations in general.

My Renegade didn't in ME2, but she was only 60%.  I didn't import her into ME3, so I don't know about carrying forward.

[Edit] Nevermind.  I read this wrong.  Mine took the surgery.

All of my import faces look pretty hideous in comparison to their ME2 versions. I'm especially disappointed with the big eyes and ugly noses.

The eyes and nose are a tad bigger on mine.  It's surprising how much a difference it makes.

Well, five minutes into game, I gave up and went back, imported and tried to recreate her look from scratch as best as possible. And I had to do that three times before I managed to make somewhat plausible result. I did the same when importing from ME1 actually, where my original import looked just horrible. But ME3, with almost non existent make-up and horrific hair styles just made my work that much harder.

I thought the hair was worse than the faces. I could only find a couple hairdos for my Maleshep that didn't look like a weasel died on his head...

Agreed.  The hair is terrible.  >.< I mean if they're going to redo the meshes and texture models, make an improvement, not devolve.

Yep, hair was my biggest struggle as well. I must have flipped between styles for 15-20 minutes or more. The hairlines are so freaking high; when I tried to put the high bun on my blonde Shepard, she looked like one of those fish with the giant foreheads. I finally settled on the sideswept crop, but it took a lot of getting used to because it's so...bulbous.It's more like a helmet moulded out of hair than it is actual hair.

I like the last hairstyle (that your femshep uses) but it clips with the foreheads of some of the femshep head structures, including the one I used for my shep.
I personally like having my Shep's hair tied back, and none of them look right... I just had to pick one of the styles and get used to it.

Yeah, it definitely clips on mine as well; right in the front, between her eyes. Which is kind of annoying, because it's such a superfluous strand anyway. But oh well. It seems to be one of the harder hairstyles to make work, imo. Like on Kelly Chambers, it makes her look like a shiny bobblehead.

Yeah, the hair is somewhat problematic. It's…poofy, in a word.

Changing to the short curly hair was a pretty drastic overall improvement for my character even though she's still nowhere near correct. I wish the old styles had been retained…

Well, in all logic, you shouldn't need make-up to create a genuinely good-looking female :)

All femShep faces, regardless of game, look absolutely horrid. Atleast the new default face looks somewhat acceptable.

I didn't mind the faces so much as I hated femShep's body model in any casual garb other than the black uniform from Vancouver. It's like they just chopped off her shoulders and skinned every scrap of meat off her arms, then taped it all to her boobs.
That first Citadel sequence is miserable for me because I can't stand looking at my Shep in the default Alliance uniform. :(

I wish they had not messed with the meshes. I'm not very good at 3D models, and when I finally get something I like, I want to stick with it. I didn't want to give my Shep a facelift. I liked her the way she was.

I wish they had more makeup options- I feel like they are lacking compared to the other ME games- hated how the canon femshep had all the makeup-- geeze, save some for the rest of us

Since everyone's contributing, here's my FemShep from ME 2. Needlesly to say, import was impossible.
(to those who understand the joke on the pic props to you)

Main reason I've never come around to play a Femshep is that it's so very hard to make them look half decent.

I'm not even aiming for anything super beautiful - just something that doesn't look like a fish.

After using some suggestions and playing around, I think I've got a closer match.

^ This is the default import into ME3.  You can see in the profile how much younger she looks.  Kaidan might have felt manly looking like he was dating a college girl, but I didn't like it.  This would have been fine as a prequel import with Shepard going through OCS.

ME3 on left - ME2 on right.  I feel reasonably happier about this after some tweaks.  What I had to do was lower and widen the jaw (default bone structure was more heart shaped than ME2), lower the mouth height, raise the eye height, and lower nose length just a tad.  Also hair dye, because I still hate the red colors - too "Fifth Element".  The eyes and nose are a bit bigger, but I can't change that.  I also think the mouth width is a little wider, but I can't change that either.  Changing the mouth size changes the fullness, not the width.  I at least feel like this is someone Kaidan would actually recognize.
