It certainly feels that way! BTW, are your results JUST based on your mapping, or are you tweaking variables specific to your shep with Gibbed?woodbyte wrote...

Just LOD+OffsetBones adjustment.
It just occured to me that I've been adjusting my Shep from before the patch. I remember comparing pre and post patch and seeing no difference but I'm going to do a fresh import and adjust that one again to make sure all is well.

I just have to say, I've been following what you folks are doing here eagerly, since my one and only Shepard ended up wearing a mouth and eyes that looked totally different than they were supposed to (her nose didn't end up exactly right either, but that's less of a concern), and the face import "fix" patch actually made it worse. I'm very impressed. Thank you for all your hard work. It's incredible that the fans, modding a game that isn't designed to be modded, are accomplishing more than the dev team itself.
You have the best signature ever.

Again, this was using the latest map.

Woodbyte, is this method usable on 360 as well? i looked back a few pages and saw 360 mentioned, but i wasn't sure?
The tool itself will only open .PCSAVs in it's current version. I think some ppl in the thread found a way to use it for Xbox with the aid of Gibbed Save Editor, but I don't recall the details.
I do plan to add support for Xbox once there's a stable, fully working, release.

I see all these posts referring to "Lazarus project" and people actually creating their old sheps in ME3...is this something that is possible on the XBOX360 version, and if so, how?
Emphyr's post is very similar to how my shep looked before ME3 (mine had heavier makeup but the face was similar) are we able to get these awesome changes into the 360 version?
You guys and gals messing with the code are doing an awesome job!
The Gibbed save editors may be used to convert XBox 360 Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 save files into PC format. This will allow manipulation with Lazarus; the Gibbed editor for Mass Effect 3 may then be employed to convert the PC Mass Effect 3 save back into XBox 360 format. The Modio utility is used for extraction and re-insertion of the XBox 360 save files.
I have used this procedure myself. The process is cumbersome, but I have observed a substantial improvement in appearance quality as compared to the "fixed" character import method.

I meant I just used the tool with the default options (OffsetBones adjustment ON).

Yeah. Or maybe you didn't notice it. At this point I know pretty much all FemSheps have poorly converted features (for instance ear height seems to be consistently off). It's just a question of whether or not the little (or not so little) differences bother you or not.

Woodbyte, I wish I had a hat to take off to you! Unbelievable job.
So the acid test, how does she perform in game? Do the facial animations hold up ok? Is she convincing enough as the same Femshep from ME2?
Also, can you post ME1, ME2, ME3 "Bioware balls up" and ME3 "Lazarus rescue" as side by side comparisons?

When this happens i can see alot of people doing alot of dancing in the streets!! I can't wait to play ME3 with a femshep that actually looks like my ME2 femshep and woodbyte (and others) are making this a reality! I won't be playing ME3 single player again untill this is available, well worth the wait!!

Well she doesn't animate the way I remember from ME2 during the intro, but having played the rest of the game I know it gets better soon after.
Oh, and I don't have any ME1 screens. I take all my screens in Steam and that game dates back to a time I hadn't yet fallen in love with it.
ME2 and ME3 (*SPOILERS*) are well documented however.

Well, ME3 is going to be playable for me now. So Bioware owes you at least whatever money I spend on future DLC, if any. XD

^ Note: She looks much better in-game than in the squad screen. I'll put up a better screenshot when I get to a place where Shep's face looks good.
To reiterate, to get the face on the
leftmost pic, all I did was use woodbyte's tool and r17 map. Simply,
open ME2 -> Open ME3 (save created by importing the aforementioned
ME2 save using ME3 itself) -> Verify that Adjust OffsetBones is
checked -> Save ME3.
Thanks for all your great work, woodbyte, phoenix, and everyone else involved. We, and hell, even Bioware, owe a lot to you guys.
EDIT: Added clearer pic.

I really feel for the PS3 guys though. At least Xbox people have a jump through hoops way round this, but the PS3 guys have no solution, and that just plain sucks.

Also if you have any recommendations on custom edits to particular VectorParameters, like how to change the ME2 iris colour value so that it's a better match in the new engine, I'd be very interested in that stuff.
