Does anyone have the HED seetings (numbers) to get the same red hair as ME2 please? I tried something yesterday but it looked majorly ginger!

Any thoughts? also how do you get the illusive mans eyes?? :)
thanks!!

Gibbed has them in it.
Open Gibbed, open your save game, go to "Player" go to "Appearance" click on "Presets", "open from file" open "eyes" select "The Illusive Man" (A) or (B), save in another slot.

Does anyone know how to adjust the actual eye balls, or i guess how you stop the eyes being clipped when shepard blinks? I almost have my shepard back this is one of the last thing bugging me :)

Yeah, it will happen a lot with those eyelashes. In fact, i had clipping issues with them even in ME1\\2, but back then it was pretty rare, and thus didn't bothered me that much.
The way i dealt with the problem was that i have first unmapped upper eyelashes in Lazarus prior to applying changes. Then i opened up edited save game with gibbed and manually adjusted positions of vertices that make up the eyelashes.
I ended up increasing Z-value of top and middle vertices by 0.1 and 0.05 respectively, which resulted in longer eyelashes that do not clip, or at least don't clip quite that often.

If you want to try it, these vertices make up the top of upper eyelashes:
0, 2, 3, 7, 10, 11, 21, 22, 25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 45, 46, 49, 51, 54, 55, 57
And these make up the middle:
1, 4, 8, 9, 20, 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 32, 33, 43, 44, 47, 48, 50, 52, 53, 56

Or you can simply unmap eyelashes in Lazarus and stick to default ones.

Forgive my laziness (don't have time currently to re-rad 68 pages), but is the Lazarus program only useful for FemSheps, or does it have the mapping for the male part of the population as well? Just wondering, because I tried it and the result was a horrible, spiky monster (that was *not* a turian). ^_^"

Unfortunately at this time, the lazarus project only works for female chars :(

More precise instructions a couple pages back, but you can adjust the eye position in Gibbed, the x axis being depth.

With the male models, yeah, not supported yet…but if you can provide ME2 -> ME3 import comparison, that'd be great.

In Shepard's voice: "This will come in handy."

Another thing you could try is taking the eyeBlink_left|right parameters and pull out the x coord a little bit. (Y is left/right.  Z up/down.)   This will effectively move the upper lid out. If you pull out too far, it will look like the lids are pulled off the eyeballs. If you can adjust by a small increment, you might fix the clipping without noticeable visual distortion.

You select the vertice and hit spacebar or uncheck "verified" box in UI. Vertices that make up eyelashes are easy to make out from the rest as they are bright yellow when verified, and bright red if not.

Here's a small demonstration:
Not the most ideal method, but MUCH quicker than waiting through it all. :D

Btw, can't generate a face code for default ME2 femShep.

[FACESTRUC_FAIL]41.R-7A.L4W.2[EYESHAPE_FAIL]9.EER.61[KEYCODE_FAIL].3N7.18-3.GF1.HF[HAIRCOLOR_FAIL].1G1.111

:(

So there goes that bit of hope for changing her mouth shape. Anyone else have any other ideas?

Thanks, i added +0.1 to the eyeBlink_left/right values and it corrected the clipping issues as far as i'm aware:

I am seeing people saying that even though the faces can import, they do not look identical to how they appeared in Mass Effect 2. While the face codes do now correctly import into Mass Effect 3, due to improvements in things like shaders, lighting, textures, etc they will not look identical to the faces in Mass Effect 2.

If faces are now importing correctly, how do you explain the pic in the middle?

If faces cannot look indentical to ME2 due to lighting, etc., how to you explain the pic on the right?

Anyway, thanks yet again to everyone who contributed to the Lazarus Project...my Shep's been restored! More comparisons to come as I continue through the game...

^ This is the closest I could come to recreating the default femShep in order to swap out her mouth shape 1 with mouth shape 7. Could these two at least pass off as "similar"?

Incredible job.
Although a Former default addict as myself will always see differences. It is just awesome.

Right, here is a zip with both the ME2 and ME3 save files plus 2 screenshots (ME2 and ME3 CC respectively) and a readme.

@jli84 Looks like you're using the visor, can you take a look from above/the side and see how well it sits on the head? Someone earlier mentioned that it didn't fit right by default.

No problem there. Was some clipping issues when I used the knot hairstyle that came with ME3, but now there is no issue.

Okay, so that recreation of Jane turned out to be a disaster. Obscenely long pointed chin. Sooo, attempt 2:

When it comes down to explaining the entire face problem, this is the single best post I've seen.

You can try it in Gibbed as well.
Open Gibbed, load your save game,  go to "Player" select "Appearance" double click "HED_Hair_Color_Vector"
Still, it is trial and error.

Edit: You probably need to change "Highlight1color" and  " Highlight2color" as well.

As some other people have said, another great thing about the fixed (Lazarus Project) faces is that they're much more expressive than the default imported faces (since the import still isn't working right).  This is easiest to see in full motion, but I thought this captured it pretty well for a still image:

Image IPB

See how with the corrected face it looks like a steely gaze, but the botched import just looks like she's squinting because she forgot to put in her contacts?

The real shame is that Bioware did some great work with faces, both in their structure and animation, but it's being hidden under some shoddy work that they did with the imports, or just the way the vertices are laid out, or whatever it is.  It's really too bad.

I mean, come on Bioware, look at that.  The one on the right just...looks...stupid.

good point! shame we can't see the colour details in the ME2 gibbed to be able to put them into an ME3 gibbed char.
