you know... with as much as Male Shep has become well known and is the REAL face of Shepard in the series, I find myself thinking that if Shep would have from the start, really meant to be female that we would have gotten a way different game. I believe the Devs would have created the game differently around a Canon Fem Shep. And I for one would have really liked to see what they would have built around a true fem Shep. Maybe it would be cool at some later date to introduce a real Fem Shep as maybe Male Shep's sister. They could even do a story based around her that took place the same time Male Shep was doing what we got now.

That one - while nice - requires texmod for the facial textures. Which imo is completely lame.

Hellosanta's version of the default really rocks though. Very nice job.

My point was simply that fans made better translations than Bioware. ;)  I personally wouldn't use it, but it does look like the art.

Oh, I agree. Someone else posted a blonde femshep a few pages back that was really nice as well. And there are others on masseffect2faces.com that are very good and just use a headmorph.

To clarify, I know that some people have gotten some very impressive results with texmod, but I see it as a hassle. It's possible to get an amazing Shep without it, as a lot of folks in this thread have shown us. :)

I don't use texmod either.  I've tried it a few times, it is pretty, but it doesn't give the right look for me.  I still just want the ME2 textures back.

I havent seen a single imported Me1 Me2 Femshep before and after BW patch that looked OK. I have seen ppl that posted their femsheps looked better because of the patch.. But i didnt see anyone who stated that posting some screenshots.

Its the same as in the EMS 4000+
ppl say they did it but nobody proved it .

I need to go to sleep now.

I was referring to modded headmorphs, not imports. There are lots of femshep headmorphs kicking around that look really amazing.

I'm afraid the only way to achieve this is Texmod.   :(

All those processes you need to every time when you start the game with texmod get really annoying for me. So I don't like using texmod .. but i'm tempted .. seeing all those HR textures projects ... *sobs*

Btw, I think there is certain lip shape from ME2 that does not import properly on ME3 even with the Lazarus project. Whatever I do, whichever map that I use, my ME2 femshep has really messed up lips LOL oh well.. let's just stick to my recreated default femshep for now.

Well if I can get hi-res version of the ME2 textures to work in ME3, I'd try it again.  :)

Lip #1 doesn't translate well.  People have better luck converting it to #7, which looks similar.

Alright, tried that map you posted earlier, Vhalk, with a brand new file based on the facecode, and with a few tweaks in the CC prior to bringing her into ME3.

Still gets a monkeyface. Not as bad as before, but it seems like the entire area of her mouth is brought forward, kind of like a chimp. It still gets a bit of the pointy cheek, but not as bad.

It's funny, I was hoping at least one of my femSheps would get the results some do, where it's pretty much open two saves, save again, win. Alas, no.

I think an important question to ask is "Are any of my Lazarus results better than what I got with a a vanilla import?". I don't think you'd find many people who'd say their Shepard was spot-on perfect afterwards - mine certainly isn't. But once I ran her through Lazarus and added  some things in Gibbed (darker skin tone to offset the ME3 pastyness, more makeup), she's a lot better than what she was.

Yeah, I had to load up my facecode in ME2 and switch the lipshape from #1 to #7 before using Lazarus. With #1, I was getting weird clipping around one side of the mouth after using Lazarus. #7 isn't an exact match, but it's close enough for government work.

Sorry that it didn't work.  I suggest going with the one that worked best, and try again if someone comes out with a new map, try making a new map yourself, or wait for a new Lazarus version.

Yeah, no idea how to even start working with the maps, so, I suppose it'll be wait.  By the time I even figure it all out, before I even start working on one, there'll be a better version anyway, hah.

It'll be a bit before I play her, not until I finish my main Shep.  I was just hoping to have her all set, so I wouldn't have to jump through all these hoops, could just hop in and play.  I'll keep checking in on the thread though.

Updated map which gives me better lip shape on mine. As always, try with or without offsetBones.

lod_mapping-excludemouth-1-2.xml Excludes mouth mapping for improved lipsync animation.

Note: I still had to make some manual adjustments in Gibbed.

It's sort of off-topic, but kudos to Lazarus project * v*)/
it basically made my life easier by visually showing the LOD vertices hehe
I finally got to fix hair clipping on the front head and to change nose, cheek, and lips shape!
I wanted to change eye lashes and jaw shape as well but that was just ... too much work OTL

@Vhalkyrie
ohhhh updated map! * v*)b going to try it now

Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but Norton Antivirus goes a little crazy when I try to download the r18 file.

False positive?

Norton is renowned for installing itself in everything on your system and being a spoiled child when it's not getting enough attention. Sorry but I dispise that program. Personal opinion though. I just think AVG or AntiVir, both free, don't warrent it :P

But you are free to use whatever program you like to protect your computer. Certainly, I have had no reports from AntiVir, and no one else has mentioned anything. In addition, woodbyte may be able to reassure you fully, but my impression from reading over the code (which is available on the project source page) suggests nothing harmful included in the application and that this is most likely a false positive.

However, you are right to be vigilant. Thank you for mentioning this.

Hi again guys and gals.  I was wondering Is there a way we can use dr. Eva's headmorph?  I think she resembles the art FemShep best.

Posted Image

btw I'm working on a new texture that uses parts of dr. Eva's face textures. It's still a WIP but here are some screens:

IMO, she turned out okay. Though only DoctorEss alone can judge the likeness properly. I did darken the blush colour and eye shadow a bit to make similar to the ME2 face, but other than that, the face is straight out of Lazarus Project.

Only with TexMod.

Though apparently we can edit PCC files now, so once I figure out how to actually use that utility properly, I may try getting into the actual game files and replacing the scars that way, which might allow for slightly less obnoxious setup than using TexMod with Origin currently requires.

my new Shepard I made from playing me1 and me2 recently imported successfully, but he does not look exactly like my Shepard.

His military buzz cut is gone along with red highlight that was in his hair.

what's also interesting is that even Kaiden looks different than he did in ME1 and ME2. So it the import difference is definitely the redesigned character models which is also affecting custom Shepards.

I can testify to this too.  Having suffered duck lips and gammy hamster cheeks with Lazarus, I switched my ME2 face code headmorph to lip shape 7 and had no problems.

Does this fix the "pinch lips" problem?  i.e. when she says an "oo" sound, her lips over pout to the point where they are pinched.  This is the only issue I have left with mine (other than still not quite looking like ME2 shep).
